MAN OF THE MATCH James Forrest set his sights on a double treble after inspiring Celtic to a 2-0 win over Motherwell in the Betfred League Cup final.
The Scotland international winger got the all-important opening goal against stuffy opponents and Moussa Dembele made sure with a clinical finish from the penalty spot.
Forrest said: “This is what it is all about. You want to play in Cup Finals and it’s another successful day at Hampden for us. We’re all buzzing.
“We did start well, they came out fighting and we knew it would be tough. We got that goal early in the second-half and kicked on from there.
“Every trophy you win with Celtic is unbelievable.
“We’ve won four in a row now and we’re looking forward to the league and the Scottish Cup starting in January.
”We had a difficult game in midweek, but we came back today to meet this challenge.
“We managed that and it’s just great to win another trophy.”
The penalty-kick award came after Scotty Sinclair was impeded by defender Cedric Kipre, who was sent off.
