‘WE’RE FOCUSED ON CELTS,’ ROSENBORG BOSS

ROSENBORG Head Coach Rini Coolen insists his players are focused on Celtic and will ignore the furore surrounding last week’s sensational sacking of boss Kare Ingebrigsten.

The Dutchman was pitched in by the Norwegians to take over from his popular predecessor which sparked talk of a revolt among the playing staff.

Coolen has already held clear-the-air talks with the team and is convinced they are ready to meet the challenge of Brendan Rodgers’ men in the first leg of their second Champions League qualifier at Parkhead tomorrow night.

He is adamant his squad have now moved on from the drama of the past week and said: “We had a meeting before the first time we met each other.

“We went over what happened the last couple of days. These are professional players.

“They said what they thought about what happened and now they move on.

“They pick themselves up and prepare themselves, that’s what they do.

“They play for the club and especially the supporters.

“So we will be ready for the next game.”
