‘WE’RE SMILES BETTER WITH THE FRENCH CONNECTION,’ SAYS BROONY

SCOTT BROWN reckons Celtic’s fabulous French threesome are smiles better.

The Hoops skipper insists the laidback approach from Moussa Dembele, Odsonne Edouard and Olivier Ntcham helps to relax the dressing room before the big encounters.

Brown said: “The French boys all seem to get on well and that helps. Moussa and Odsonne are very chilled.

“I think it must be a cool French thing. They are totally different to me!

“After their country won the World Cup, they were buzzing. They came into Lennoxtown for training with their French tops on!

“We were cheering on France for their sakes after backing Dedryck Boyata for as long as him and Belgium were in it.

“It wasn’t to be for him, but the French boys were happy. They had a smile on their face for training all week.

“Most of the lads were watching the World Cup to cheer on the Celtic boys, Cristian Gamboa, Tom Rogic, Mikael Lustig and Dedryck. The
French lads also obviously backed their nation.

“They have a little bit of banter about them. It’s a great dressing room, an open dressing room. They speak very good English, although not so good Scottish!

“Their faces are always relaxed, but once they get on the pitch they show their qualities.

“They really are top-quality players and exactly the sort of players we want to have at our club.

“It’s a great place for them to start their careers and push on.”
