History does not record that Celtic were rotten on 4 December 2019, or that simultaneously Newco took a two goal lead at Pittodrie. The record ‘books’ show a 90th minute Hamilton Accies equaliser at Celtic Park was nullified by a 92nd minute Scott Brown goal, while Aberdeen battled back to take a point. That win put Celtic two points ahead of their Glasgow rivals. Form remained poor, results did not always go their way, but the title sure did.
It is inexplicable that in added time, Celtic transformed a night which looked like becoming a two-point deficit into a two-point surplus. Again they stood together and fought to the end. Again they carried you and me over the finish line (if only we could claim it was the other way round).
I have no idea who will win the league this season. Celtic are at the bottom of the curve and will overhaul substantially whoever wins, but there is something special about this football club. There is something special about our manager and there is more than a chance that our period as the world’s most successful football club will continue.

The BBC must have flattered us. The highlights showed us doing everything except put the ball in the back of the net due to defensive heroics from our opposition.
Ox demonstrating what you get when you bring in quality. I think a previous manager may even have mentioned it once or twice…..
Of course the more quality the more you diminish old firmery so we know what has to happen there, frustrating as it is for those with bigger ambitions for the club.

C’MON THE CELTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Blootering the ball against defenders will never beat curling one skilfully and coolly round said defenders and inside the far post .

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlian’s signing might have been off piste.
Yet it is the Ibroxians who are Piste off…
Hail Hail
Loved the Ox interview post match.
I fear he will need to be every bit as good on the park as he talks if we are to have a chance this season.
I do really hopes he gets to experience the real Celtic support behind the team some time soon.
Hopefully he can have a positive influence on those around him such as Bernardo and if / when he returns Engels.
Also loved big Welsh last night real joy and really giving it to the Huns.
Well manager does seem to be the right stuff to me but I reckon maybe going elsewhere. Hope not.
If the Joe Hart recruitment rumour has legs then that is interesting and 2 + 2 adds up to 5.

Leave the “world’s most successful club” patter to those with the imaginary girlfriend who chucks them!
HH
Also it would be great and hugely conducive to a better United atmosphere if those attending claiming to be Celtic supporters really focused on supporting the team for 100 mins or so.
I know we all pay our money and can do as we please of course but if genuinely wanting Celtic to win is a common aim the surely focusing on that in the stadium would help ? Or is that a stupid thing to ask ?

I think it was tongue in cheek by Paul.
Still LOL at imaginary girlfriend chucking them.
Pray to god she doesn’t come back though.

The Huns were outplayed and hanging on against 10 men last night. Hearts got schooled by St Mirren last week.
It’s a 3 way race between 3 bang average teams. Rugby Park will be a huge 3 points, it’s vital we keep the pressure on prior to kick off at Ibrox.

As many have said we need to convert much more of the chances we create. Great that the team continues to the end. A couple of things,
– The refs are cheating us, pure and simple
– Our throw-ins take an eternity, generally go back the way, allow teams to regroup and invariably end in us losing possession

Ange – a mile high and deliciously late – serves up some Schadenfreude-scented revenge on ye Spurs.
He coulda said the same bout us, I spose.

Blatant cheating yet again, has Collum been sidelined?
Hopefully we’ll find a way to get over the line.
MON, Ox, & the 2 manky mobs being average is where I draw my hope from.
It’s as much endurance as entertainment watching it but hey ho, we are where we are.
The World’s Most Successful… stuff is too Old Firmy for me. Should leave that to the wee minded silly Billies.
And f**k the MIBs.
Sack the board chants does not encourage the team. But if that what floats your boat then blast ahead.
In my opinion there was a certain sheep mentality following the ultras chant. Nobody spontaneously stood up. Then one person stood up, people look around then sheepishly follow suit.
How much they are seriously onboard is open to debate.
One thing for sure is that nobody around me had any answers what follows.
Personally I hate our iconic songs like ” I wanna be Edouard ” being bastardised to suit the the sack the board narrative.
With the highest wage bill in Scotland, introducing exciting new costly loan players, turning down £25m for a player who in my opinion is not worth 25 big ones to us and fighting gallantry on three fronts, then imo this is not the time.
HH, the journey continues.
What a boost it would be if all who want Celtic to succeed could swallow some pride and find a compromise that allows the remainder of the season to be played in a supportive cauldron of a stadium.
Would be like switching on the after burners

Well if he left us to go to a club that aren’t one of the big boys…..
I wouldn’t be too down about our form – the new recruits have still to bed in.
That 2 of them scored last minute winners in the last 2 games is encouraging, but we can’t continue to rely on that. We need to “click” before one of these games gets away from us.
The anti Board chanting and standing is moronic and stupid. It’s undermines the team and detrimentally affects the performance level. Thick as mince. Astonishing how many are being led on by it.
The famous/infamous word used by George Galloway springs to mind when supporting Celtic nowadays. “indifatigability” … the players have it and the supporters need it!
Might be in a minority, but I would ask Martin if he would take the job for next season. We have a big summer ahead, team needs rebuilt, and the Board needs dismantled. Let Martin sort out the football department, which looks like it was built on sand.Let him buy players to get a proper Celtic team on the park, and get real football professionals in to the right areas re player succession, scouting etc.It would be one major problem less for those in charge to worry about IMO

It was mentioned on here recently, those types of incidents should be put together to show a constant and blatant difference in how a certain team is refereed. Get the young team and the more mature non luddites among us to share on all social media platforms. Other managers, like the Motherwell guy, now seeing it for what it is.
One game at a time and all that, but I scribbled down (literally) on the back of an envelope what I think the post split fixtures look like assuming the top 6 remains the same (Aberdeen are 11 points behind Falkirk in sixth with 2 games in hand.

Trying to be objective, I’d say none of the 3 protagonists has a particularly easy run in, although the huns have more home games and Hertz would have 4 away games unless they switch Falkirk or Motherwell (I can’t see them switching any of the other 3).
Thing is it wasn’t decisions of the Celtic Fans Collective Steering Committee that got us victory last night…
It was the collective decisions of Liam, CalMac & Sebastian helping the Ox steer the ball into the net…

Re Souter handball , is there not a rule that if your arm is supporting your weight as you fall then it’s not a handball. Alastair Johnson did similar at Killie last season …..
Not sure if the 2 incidents are comparable.
HH
I thought the support carried the team over the line last night. Most vociferous it has been for a while. All the booing was at a referee who cheated in plain sight with imaginary free kick after imaginary free kick kick. An imaginary booking for scales. Ignoring Adamu being halfed in two. Ignoring constant blatant time wasting but pulling up Kaspar for doing the same in stoppage time,
its a penalty

Just checking I thought Falkirk being in top 6 screws up the equal home and away games. Not sure but we may be due 3 home ties post splits ….
Not sure I picked this up but could be completely wrong

EKBhoy- it was the incident when Souttar lost the ball to a fair tackle which bothered me most, blatant cheating.
Sionnaigh- from earlier, is that why Souttar is always injured? Seems it was his missus who rumbled it……
