What history records

163

History does not record that Celtic were rotten on 4 December 2019, or that simultaneously Newco took a two goal lead at Pittodrie.  The record ‘books’ show a 90th minute Hamilton Accies equaliser at Celtic Park was nullified by a 92nd minute Scott Brown goal, while Aberdeen battled back to take a point.  That win put Celtic two points ahead of their Glasgow rivals.  Form remained poor, results did not always go their way, but the title sure did.

It is inexplicable that in added time, Celtic transformed a night which looked like becoming a two-point deficit into a two-point surplus.  Again they stood together and fought to the end.  Again they carried you and me over the finish line (if only we could claim it was the other way round).

I have no idea who will win the league this season.  Celtic are at the bottom of the curve and will overhaul substantially whoever wins, but there is something special about this football club.  There is something special about our manager and there is more than a chance that our period as the world’s most successful football club will continue.

Have I got this right? The Celtic Fans Collective tried and failed to set the agenda (which included the removal of the Ceo of Celtic FC) for a meeting with Celtic FC set for yesterday morning. Hence the meeting with Celtic FC, long awaited, did not take place yesterday, and will now take place next week. The Green Brigade, scheduled to meet with Celtic FC this morning turned down the offer of this meeting, also long awaited, because the CFC did not meet with Celtic FC yesterday, and will not meet with Celtic FC until the Celtic Fans Collective meet with Celtic FC which is now scheduled for next week. The Green Brigade will then agree to meet with Celtic FC, having spurned the opportunity to meet with them today. Have I got this right?

Have there been meetings this week or are have they now been re-scheduled for next week?

I think I got that part right. No?

  4. Maolmuire O Muirgheasa on

So, on Tuesday, a big group of people who love the same football team wrote a letter to two men named Brian and George. They said, “Hey! Can we meet with you tomorrow morning at 10 o’clock?” They also told them who would come from their group and what they wanted to talk about.

But then, yesterday, Brian and George said, “Oh, we can’t meet tomorrow because some other important people we need aren’t free until next Wednesday.”

So the meeting for today couldn’t happen. They will have it next week instead.

Now, there’s another smaller group, called the Green Brigade. They were asked to meet on Thursday afternoon. They said, “We can wait so we all meet together!” But the big group told them, “No, no, please go to your meeting. Maybe it will help you come back to the games sooner.”

And they promised to tell everyone when they know more.

    The end.

    Hope this helps.

The CFC simply cannot expect to go into talks with the Celtic Board with the agenda demanding the Ceo must be removed (presumably by the Board) and that the Board must go. That agenda is going nowhere fast….

  10. Any fan group that does not agitate for the removal of at least 40,000 boring seats out of Parkhead, then your just another group filled with innocent unknowing fans who are blissfully unaware that the all seating trick was pulled by offshore controlled PM Thatcher back in the day.

All seated football stadiums were needed to begin the dumbing down of society program.

And the evil genius, PM Thatcher created a “society” filled with obedient sheeple who would do everything to avoid rocking the boat.

Thatcher could not control England national teams fan hooligan problem.

So she got her ‘goons’ to deliberately crush 97 innocent, Liverpool FC fans to death at Hillsborough in 1989, and used this staged operation, psyop, deliberate Mass Murder, to be fuelled by wall to wall, “TERRIFY FOOTBALL FANS”, media frenzy, so that fans would go along with all seating.

Thirty years later down the road, care for the fans “Safety” was replaced by the, “Scare the Public” about a virus that no scientist has ever been able to prove exists, called “Covid 19”.

So fake PCR tests were created, or rather a corrupt back-doored version of the real PCR tests were created, that gave 97.99% false positive results, so anybody taking these “tests” would get a 97.99% false positive result, and would then panic about having Covid 19, and would then rush out to get the “untested” Covid19 mRNA Vaccinations.

The lesson is, if the Govt/Media say that they are worried about your safety, then go and check what they are NOT telling you.

    Always!

Rest in Peace 97 Liverpool Comrades.

Rest in Peace ALL Innocent Human Beings who were Murdered by the Establishment in other cruel ways.

Think you are wrong. The celtic collective represents a broad church of supporters groups who are far stronger together than apart. celtic decided to avoid acknowledging the collective so they could avoid the key issues raised and to divide the supporters groups, undermining the movement that is demanding change.

The celtic board and their fanboys are framing the problems at celtic at the door of ordinary supporters when the truth is everything that has gone wrong at celtic is on them. Celtic supporters have played their part by throwing millions at a club. Celtic would rather turn a profit and pay tens of million in tax than have a competitive team on the pitch or better facilities for supporters.

We have tens of millions in the bank cause of a lack of investment and an unwillingness to improve not because of wonferful business skills. Its a sign ofdailure not success.

*SENTINEL CELTS PLAYER OF THE YEAR 2025-26*

*RESULTS FROM GAME #41 CELTIC 2 LIVINGSTON 1 (SARACCHI, OXLADE-CHAMBERLAIN)*

    Good evening, friends.

Last weekend I wrote “I’m pretty sure that no other player in our history made his debut and scored such an important goal with the last kick of the game”. Well, it wasn’t quite the last kick of the game this time but another injury time winner from a debutant contributed to a not too shabby midweek set of fixtures. 2 goals, both from outside of the box – when did that last happen??

Celtic have now played 41 games, and have won 22, drawn 9 and lost 10. We have scored 74 goals and conceded 45. We lie 3rd in the league, 6 points behind Hearts but with a game in hand. We have 13 league games remaining.

My sincere thanks to the 90 who voted after this latest game, not quite hitting the magical winning line of 100.

The total votes cast for each player are as follows, with my own nominations asterisked.

    Schmeichel: 4

    Araujo: 35

    Trusty: 1

    Scales: 2

    Saracchi*: 61

    McGregor: 9

    Engels: 3

    Nygren: 3

    Tounekti*: 52

    Cvancara: 0

    Maeda: 0

    Hatate: 0

    Adamu: 0

    Tierney: 24

    Forrest: 2

    Oxlade-Chamberlain*: 74

Unused substitutes: Arthur, Donovan, Sinisalo, Yang

And so, the POINTS earned by each player for the game against Livingston are as follows –

    25 points: Oxlade-Chamberlain

    22 points: Saracchi

    19 points: Tounekti

    16 points: Araujo

    14 points: Tierney

    12 points: McGregor

    11 points: Schmeichel

10 points each: Engels and Nygren

8 points each: Forrest and Scales

    6 points: Trusty

4 points each: Adamu, Cvancara, Hatate and Maeda

1 point each: Arthur, Donovan, Sinisalo, Yang

The cumulative points achieved after 41 games played shows that the lead has again changed hands. Just like the league race, there appear to be 3 in with a chance of POTY…

    574: McGregor

    571: Scales

    528: Tierney

    425: Engels

    395: Trusty

    392: Nygren

    369: Maeda

    362: Tounekti

    355: Hatate

    347: Yang

    346: Schmeichel

    302: Forrest

    285: McCowan

    267: Donovan

    199: Iheanacho and Ralston

    192: Saracchi

    191: Kenny

    76: Balikwisha

    73: Sinisalo

    60: Johnston

    40: Osmand

    37: Cvancara

    25: Oxlade-Chamberlain

    23: Inamura

    20: Adamu

    19: Idah

    17: Welsh

    14: Simpson-Pusey

    9: Doohan

    3: Isiguso and Mvuka

    2: Hale and McArdle

    1: Arthur, Hayney

0: All the other players who’ve not yet made a matchday squad!

Our attention now turns to Super Sunday. Celtic travel to face Kilmarnock, kick off 2.00pm whilst the 2 teams currently ahead of us in the table meet at Ibrox for a 4.30pm kick off. As long as Celtic win it will be a positive weekend.

It was not the Celtic support who drove this club into the ditch

    ————

May i ask, what ditch would that be. ?

The only Scottish team left in Europe, with glamour ties against Stuttgart.

Having failed to prepare and qualify in the CL qualifiers we are now in the 2nd division. We managed to scrape into the knockout round of the 2nd division whilst 12 months previous we did the same in the 1st division.

Still fighting for a potential treble, with a realistic prospect of a domestic double.

Indeed we are and that’s because we have gone down in levels of both players and performance and are currently on our 4th manager team of the season.

    The best manager in Scotland.

Probably but difficult to call that until the fat lady finishes her song.

    The best squad in Scotland

Same answer as above I reckon however through terrible squad management and recruitment in is not as good as last 3/4 seasons nor as good as it should be with vast wealth in the bank.

The highest wage bill for the most valuable players in Scotland.

Not sure that is correct. Read a story that r2ngers have outspent us in the last 2 seasons? If, when the season is over and if we failed to win the league having the “most valuable squad” will mean nothing and will only serve to highlight poor management.

The ability to attract a class player like the Ox.

Well OK however seems we weren’t able to attract the Seria B winger in January so not sure we are as big a pull as you suggest

The fiscal viability to refuse an offer of £25m for a player who is perhaps not demonstrating that value.

Lets be very clear – we knocked this back because it was so late in the day it gave us almost zero time to replace. Had we a proper and functioning scouting and recruitment team we would have potentially had 2/3 options to replace – we don’t so couldn’t sell. Another example of poor planning and management.

I’m sure every other team in Scotland would love to be in that ditch.

Indeed they would and we are doing our very best to stagnate and regress to make sure they are.

  26. A few weeks ago Jonny Kenny got himself some kind of injury, calf strain or suchlike, didn’t look good. And yet in no time flat, about ten days ago back he was on his way, on loan, to Bolton. Arnie Engels pulled up against Livingstone, with what looked like a thigh strain. Now, I’m hoping Martin will give us an update on the nature of said injury, and his likely time out. Hopefully mericfully brief, not as complex as the hamstring muscles I wouldn’t think. Of course the Ox can play in that position, but can he start there? Bernardo too, can he regain his best form? If not we are going to have to improvise on that right hand side, Joel, Donovan, even Ralston can all play right side. Midfield has not been the engine room it has been in the past, Martin & Co will have to work miracles there.
