One small compensation for Martin O’Neill is that Daizen Maeda will not have his usual post-international break recuperation requirement following in a fortnight. Japan take on Scotland at Hampden tomorrow before facing England at Wembley a week later. You get the feeling the player could benefit from getting away from Celtic business for a while, without the costs associated with a 36 hour journey.
It is an underappreciated fact how important Japanese football has been to Celtic over the last five years. Without Kyogo, Daizen and Reo Hatate, our trophy count would be less (perhaps significantly) and our transfer spend would be significantly higher. We went all in on Japan for a while, then, after diminishing returns, lost faith in the strategy. Recent scattergun approaches have been incoherent.
The premise that took us to Japan still stands. It is a fertile and under-scouted territory. We should be back in earnest.

Yes why 2 wingers at all times? , when one or both are not producing, it’s not working, why can’t MON not see this, it’s madness.
|
Because its MON’s turn to play the didn’t know what he was doing auld daft erchie old firm FIRST not so hidden agenda for 75,000 quid per week.
How many league titles have the Huns ever thrown to help Cellic oot?
Docile Dan everybody’s mug era needs to come to an end but how?
The board are not going to sack themselves.
Unless you are season ticket holder with a free club supplied sheep blindfold.
But Shhhhh!
The 60,000 stadium without the Green Brigade is the biggest boring family section in the world.
The Best Fans In The World era supporter base would have burned the director box to the ground if the club switched all of the stadium lights off when “YNWA” was played over the tannoy.
Whereas the keep the old firm lights on all seated trap era fans all look up at the screens to take selfies of themselves when “YNWA” one of Celtic’s great optical selling points is trashed to nothing relevance.
Dunderheids x 60,000 are not what the Doctor would order.
Sad are the homes since they lost their uppity JUNGLE fighters….
Right on Cue.

You`re welcome.

Hopefully you’ll not be all confused anymore now.
But I doubt it!
Sad are the homes since unnecessary seats were installed by sleekit Thatcher turning fitba stadiums into boring versions of Ibrox during the John Grieg manager era…
Boooooooo….
I’m only confused when I read Kev J’s posts
Aff oot
Hand of God
Kevj gets confused too
It just cant help talk bout Celtic.
Celtic this,Celtic that but always Celtic.
He misses not going……terribly
No new hobby found
So its talk Celtic,yap Celtic
20+ years of not attending
21 years of Celtic this,Celtic that,
It just cant get enough….of its telly
A case study….voted for Tony Blair but defaults now to vax zoomery to cover his guilt.🤪
Motherwell announced a profit of just under £400,000 for the 2024/25 season.
The Steelmen also increased their turnover by nearly £1.3 million to £7.3 million.
The club generated £1.4 million in transfer fees, primarily from the sale of Theo Bair to French side Auxerre.
The figures show the Fir Park side is on a sound financial footing with around £645,000 in the bank.
Good afternoon CQN.
Other than the standard <5 minutes highlights bundle, I didn't see Scotland team.
Not terrible, not great. Not really interested.
This caught my eye today.

Article headline – both at top of the article itself AND the link in main BBC Online Football page.
'Scotland's Hampden warriors return to reserved selves'
Quotation marks included.
Interesting quote me thought.
I wonder who came up with it?
Back in the day, hacks would only use quotes to emphasise words of a luminary or someone who had walked in another's shoes.
In other words, someone whose opinion was worth something.
No longer.
The above quote is the invention of the reporter.
Two issues spring to mind for me.
1. In what universe do these self absorbed clowns exist? Clearly one where they are the centre of it.
Arrogance off the scale.
2. Under what editorial environment is this arrogant, self promoting, "the world according to me", behaviour considered even remotely acceptable?
As we can clearly see with much bigger global issues …
… Individuals empowered way beyond their abilities, and not subject to any real oversight or control?
Invariably disappear up their own ass, but not before inflicting themselves on the rest of us.
I’m only confused when I read Kev J’s posts

you say ‘posts’ plural.
you give him too much credit.
he only has 1 post that he just re-posts several times per day.
why?
im beginning to think ‘he’ might actually be a computer bot.
only a computer can carry out repetitive pointless tasks without questioning their own sanity.

——————–
Celtic Chief Executive Michael Nicholson said: “Our brief to the University of Strathclyde was to design, deliver, and analyse a robust, objective research project that placed the voices of Celtic supporters at its very heart.
“Almost 50,000 supporters responded to this survey; sharing their views, experiences, and aspirations for our Club. The scale and depth of this response underline the extraordinary level of interest and engagement among Celtic supporters.
“This report seeks to respect and reflect those voices faithfully and independently. Where there are areas of challenge or dissatisfaction, they are reported transparently. Equally, where there are positives to celebrate, they are highlighted.
“The intention in commissioning the survey was to ensure that the Club has clear, actionable evidence to inform its decision making and strategy going forward. That work has already started, and we look forward to taking it forward in partnership with our fans.
“Most importantly, I thank all of the supporters who engaged with the survey. Your involvement in this project will play a key role in informing the future of the Club we all love.”
Congratulations to skip to my Lou
A huge thank you to everyone who supported the 10th anniversary dinner for the Macari Centre last night. Fantastic to see so many of you there. It’s been a long journey and here’s to the next 10 years

IN WHICH AREAS WOULD YOU LIKE TO SEE THE CLUB INVEST IN THE
FUTURE?
This question was an open text response. One of the most frequent suggestions that came
from fans is regarding the signing of better players or creating a better team. This is followed
by suggestions around investing money to develop the stadium – e.g. a bigger stadium with
more capacity, improvements to the Main Stand, safe standing areas (suggested in other
questions) and facilities (seats, toilets, catering etc.). Other suggestions were for youth
development, museum, and fan zones

Harry Redknapp?
Araujo out for 7-8 weeks
Very unlikely to play for Celtic again this season then, hope this injury glut is engaging those who provide training and conditioning.

*might NEVER play for us again, thankfully AJ is on the way back but this might curtail any transfer out for him
I don’t think AJ will play for Celtic much this season either certainly not 90 minutes, back to AR and CD
Araujo injury means he may not be back:-((

This has to be our worst season for injuries for a long time , can’t remember it being so bad.Add in 2 disastrous windows and a crazy managerial appointment not forgetting civil war with the fans , it’s no surprise where we stand.Apart from all that it’s smashing.

Must be the worst for having so many major players out (which is what Araujo became recently). I don’t really take an interest in English football but not too disappointed that Spurs are in trouble nor that the Orc ladies have lost
(I think). Childish prick that I am😁
When did Araujo get injured? He seemed fit enough when sprinting to the Broomloan rd stand after the penalties
Why is the Spurs job such a poison chalice? They are going through managers faster than us.
Deniabhoy
Maybe injured it doing the pipe dance on the night oot?
All the injuries proves something seriously wrong in the background also.

i think the celtic managers job could become the next poison chalice.
you take that job knowing you need a complete new team, but wont be given the cash, but you also have to win the league next season.
that sounds like a job to take just because of the pay you will earn in the short time you will be there, knowing your bosses arent that fussed about whether you succeed or not
Tontine Tim
Glasgow City women’s team chose orange because it’s bright and distinctive. They are not affiliated to any other clubs in Scotland, and orange is unique to them as a club colour.

said that all season.
thats not bad luck with injuries.
thats failure in the club
