MIKAEL LUSTIG spent his glory years at Celtic and won SIXTEEN honours – eight successive league titles, four Scottish Cups and four League Cups.
The Swedish defender, who also featured in three back-to-back trebles, became a fans’ favourite with his wholehearted displays plus his zany antics, one of which figured the donning of a policeman’s hat during celebrations.
Lustig, now 37, left Parkhead in June 2019. Originally, he agreed a pre-contract at the Hoops in November 2011 and officially joined in January the following year.

The versatile right-back, capped 94 times by his country, made his debut in a 1-1 draw with Aberdeen two months later.
On October 28 2018, Lustig led the Hoops out to victory in his 250th game for the club as they defeated Hearts 3–0 in the League Cup semi-final at Murrayfield on their way to claiming the silverware with a 1-0 success over Aberdeen the following month at Hampden where Ryan Christie was the matchwinner.
The following year, on May 4, he netted with a spectacular diving header to open the scoring in a 3-0 victory over the Dons at Pittodrie which sealed the club’s eighth successive Premiership crown.
After a successful career in Glasgow, he moved to Belgian outfit Gent when he signed a three-year deal in June 2019.
However, he stayed for just one season before returning to his homeland with AIK. He hung up his boots at the end of the 2021/22 season.
Lustig returned to the game earlier this year as a coach with Swedish top-flight club VSK, who, coincidentally, play in green and white hoops.
