‘WHEN I’LL DECIDE HOOPS FUTURE,’ BOYATA

DEDRYCK BOYATA has revealed he will decide his Celtic future after the World Cup Finals.

The 27-year-old Belgian international centre-back is in the last 12 months of his Hoops contract and was reportedly watched by Serie A outfit Lazio in his nation’s 3-0 win over Panama this week.

Boyata has held talks with the seven-in-a-row champions about a contract extension, but said: “Right now, I am concentrating on the World Cup. I am not thinking about my future.

“I still have a year on my contract and will see after the summer if I continue with Celtic again.”

Boyata, signed for £600,000 by Ronny Deila from Manchester City in 2015, will keep his place in Belgian’s central defence against Tunisia on Saturday, but could step down if Vincent Kompany overcomes his injury in time for the final Group G game against England a week today.
