After the adrenaline-fuelled dramas that a return to the Champions League after five long years provided, Celtic are off to Paisley on Sunday. There will be an inevitable drop-off in in energy levels, the players are not machines, after all, as we take on an opponent with more robust objective from the game.
While Celtic have four days to recover and prepare, St Mirren will be 15 days without a game when they take on the champions. During this period, they will have been able to do some endurance training and get plenty rest before what will be a committed 90 minutes’ effort. They will not be easy to overcome.
Whatever motivational chat Ange Postecoglou gives before a game, it cannot always have the same intensity. I expect he fully animated the players for the games against Real and Shakhtar, but words overused lose their affect. Can he really whip them up for St Mirren? I doubt it, in fact, I don’t even think he should.
Our baseline performance must be substantial enough to pick the points in Paisley. The next big emotional effort is three weeks away, save the inspiration for then. One more push before the break.

I tried to be gentle about this. The German politician has a face and a name. The sentence was spoken. It can be traced to his speech about the Ukraine.
If that does not appear in the version you saw there are two possibilities.
1) The info you got was faked or
2) the Info I researched- not from Snopes this time- was faked.
If so, the people in Germany would be the first to point out that this wasn’t a misspeak from Feb/March 2022 when he said it. He’s a known face and name- his speeches are reported and recorded. Dead easy to spot who is mis-translating here.
Maybe somebody will shoot up another innocent pizza restaurant to make this meme a self fulfilling prophecy.
FAO BRRB,
A new Celtic bar has opened on Howard St. Gallaghers bar opened today at 16.00hrs.
Note : No card facilities as yet. Cash only.

Maybe not a bad thing :-)
The Queen is dead, but the gravy train for the ‘royal’ family at the expense of the people will continue for many years to come for her children, grand children, nephews, neices, etc for many years to come.

Yes there was a cancelled Genesis gig – think it was either 73 or 4 so it might have been the Apollo by then – we had a bus load going up from Greenock
It was an electrical problem and they did come back a couple of months later – big encore was ‘The Knife’

Let them post and not enjoy Celtic …
Just imagine for a millisecond … am going to log into to Celtic fans website and not enjoy being a Celtic fan
That would be a bit surreal …
But, strangely enough it actually happens … frequently
@Ron i’m givin those big xxx to my wee drummer jada ..
currently in the Beatson..Hope your well mate.
Watching MOTD … Brendan was terrific for us, my only gripe was the way he ditched his players & fans .. I realise football is a business … but things could have been done better … I love Neil and always will, it’s gummy I know cheer Ominia Nicosia and hope to fcuk Leicester lose every match they play
Petty ? … you better believe it
Am hoping Spurs still get 7 … even though I know it ended 6-2 ….. Henriks chip 6-2 is a result close to many of our hearts …. What many don’t realise … Henrik was having a mare that day and missed (or Klos) saved many of his chances … to try that “dink” just shows you how good our Swedish No7 was … as for Brendan he will never be short of a bob …
He could have been anything … hopefully Ange will show Brendan that sometimes the grass isn’t always greener …
Am a wee bit of a romantic … Ange gets us 🍀
I will never wish Brendan anything bad .. he gave us seasons of good stuff …
But when Leicester bin him (and they will) I will have a wee sly smile …. You reap what you sow

great shout
if the queens death meant the end of this ridiculous system then it would be a cause for celebration
but it wont obviously
it just keep going on
at our expense
It’s hard to get any value betting Celtic in Scotland, it has been for years.
Went for a betbuilder and it’s Celtic Win (obviously), Celtic to score more than 2.5 FH Goals and Celtic to Win both halves. 10s in decimal.
The way Ange has our Bhoys going these days, these pityful odds are gonnae get worse and worse, IMO.
I’m hoping the opportunity to get decent odds when betting on Celtic keeps getting worse. :))
Ange is the Man.
Hello again all you young rebels.
From a dodgy looking dark skied Melbourne.
What a dull wet weekend here, but the sun is ready to burst
through the clouds down at our CSC as we all start our songs.☀️
Did I hear another penalty incident regarding der hun ?
Nah ! Don’t believe it 🫣

Melbourne Mick,
That is really Spooky you posted what you did just before my last comment.
Let the People Sing!!!!!
Having a Live PA singing a few songs, IMO, definitely is a Fantastic initiative and gets Celtic Park Rocking.
The Sevco & Real Madrid games were enhanced by the Live PA.
PETEC
It certainly was, I’ll think about you now, when we blast
out our first song lol.
H.H. Mick
Melbourne Mick,
I’m guessing we will score our first goal in the 1st 10 minutes (possibly 2). We have an Incredible team(squad) we are All Marvelling at because of the Boss who is Incredible.
It would be Funny, Ironic if Celtic Won the CL, Something eluding the City Group especially under PEP.
Whatever happens during the minute’s applause today…. Scotland is as a divided subservient rebellious part of the UK as she was yesterday.
My friends in Celtic,
Our loanee to FC Utrecht has put in yet another MOTM performance and has been recalled to the Greek international squad.
Although we didn’t see it, it definitely seems there is a goalkeeper there.
Good news for us as perhaps the £5 m is not dust.
HH, the journey continues.
BBC and Gio seem to think Huns had a big win, beating Dundee United 2-1.
Maybe that’s the level of their ambition.
We have more substantial goals.
With the international break interfering with our march to the title, I am sure our deep poo will all want to leave a positive final impression, not only on the boss but also the fans.
I expect Ange, faced with the prospect of double parked buses will play our big Greek striker from the beginning.
The minute applause will only delay the Saints’ fate and I fully expect a comfortable 4/5 goal thrashing which sadly will not count as a big win.
Definitely not as big as 9-0.
POOL POOL POOL
The prospect of the break taken up entirely with the banners or chants we will witness in Paisley is a wee bit daunting. We will all be dizzy with the circular arguments, knocked out by spectacular flouncing and shocked by personal attacks as Tims turn on each other. Friends(?) of the blog will delight in its demise. Again.
However, come Motherwell and RB we will all be singing from the same sheet.
Good night till we all come together in 7 hours.
Good morning all from Glasgow Airport 🛫. Going to Zante, publicans celebrate. Hopefully will catch the game. Gerrintaethum Celtic!!!!
Hart, Welsh, Jenz, Bernabei, Mooy, Forrest, Ideguchi, McCarthy, Abilgaard…Looking at our normal matchday squads so far this season those players listed are to the best of my knowledge the only ones not departing for international duty this coming week. I reckon most of them will get some game time today…
BRRB 5.39am
Enjoy Zante … if anybody needs a holiday it’s ….
Mrs BRRB
:-)
Hope you get to see the hoops and remember dont be drinking pints of raki, stick to the Guinness
Good morning all from a dry but overcast Garngad
Off to watch the Grandson play at Toryglen before having some bhoys in for the game.

Whatever side big Ange puts in should be good enough today.
