After the adrenaline-fuelled dramas that a return to the Champions League after five long years provided, Celtic are off to Paisley on Sunday. There will be an inevitable drop-off in in energy levels, the players are not machines, after all, as we take on an opponent with more robust objective from the game.
While Celtic have four days to recover and prepare, St Mirren will be 15 days without a game when they take on the champions. During this period, they will have been able to do some endurance training and get plenty rest before what will be a committed 90 minutes’ effort. They will not be easy to overcome.
Whatever motivational chat Ange Postecoglou gives before a game, it cannot always have the same intensity. I expect he fully animated the players for the games against Real and Shakhtar, but words overused lose their affect. Can he really whip them up for St Mirren? I doubt it, in fact, I don’t even think he should.
Our baseline performance must be substantial enough to pick the points in Paisley. The next big emotional effort is three weeks away, save the inspiration for then. One more push before the break.

Job done by Clancy
Huns were hanging on that last 5 + extra 3
time wasting but clancy blows bang on 3 minutes when du had won a corner
they are still “so feckin shyte”
Marspapa
I watched the last 15 minutes, you can see how important playing behind closed doors was to them. Playing in front of that baying mob would put any player off.
Ps they were shite too
a great marnok cos he had a great teacher,

Haven’t seen it yet, but Utd were denied as a stonewaller as it gets, aye scottish refs to the rescue
The Huns to a man on Follow Follow and Rainjuuuurz Meeeja want Gio sacked. One guy thinks he’s trying to get his P45. It seems that everything they want, Gio does the opposite. Could this be a case of gone by Hallowe’en or Christmas?

Wow he reads…. ibrox noise. Speaking of ibrox noise, is that by any chance edited by 1 James Trainor ?
According that site rainjurs had numerous
multi billion £ investors coming over the summer…. not to mention the 5 or 6 players the pipped celtic to over the same period. Oh & all those super star signings.
The really sad part (for thems) is that ibrox noise often always has several articles in the ‘SPFL Top stories’ section of NewsNow ()()

Good lord, even minutes are getting shorter under this Tory government. I mean, that was just over 20 seconds at Liverpool. At this rate games will be finishing before half time, pro rata.

Never been inside the new Love Street so don’t know the layout but wondering if it would Ben possible for the Celtic support to stay down below the stand until after the pre-match nonsense is over.
STIVS;
Jackie Vernon played for GBx1 v Rest of Europe at Hampden.
Gladbach beating liepzig 2 0 on sky .I think we have a good chance of taking points off them.

That ain’t going to happen but it’s a nice wee stadium, with room in the concourse areas.

Celtic The Musical is brilliant, try and go if you can
Maybe the Marco Rose bubble is completely burst. The last 2 results after a big win seems typical of their form. Very hot and very cold.
So gutted Re the newco today. The Arabs so nearly had them. After being 2-0 down and disrespecting the dead queen there would have been a riot of they had completed the job.
Over to us to show no mercy tomorrow and stretch our lead in goal difference at least.
GGhamstring
That would be a really good idea. Clever stuff making a point clearly.
