White, male, entitled violence

370

24 hours after a fan assaulted Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish, the English criminal justice system was able to arrest, charge, try and jail the 27-year-old assailant.  No politicians, football administrators, or clubs were involved.  Nor was alcohol, the perennial bogeyman.  Days were not spent discussing Strict Liability.  Only the police and courts were required.

We know lots about the perpetrators.  There are many women at football now, but these people are always male.  There are many people of colour at games, but not among the offenders, this is a white crime. And, they feel entitled to be violent by throwing coins, bottles or punches.

West Midlands Police and the Birmingham Magistrate’s Court have shown us how to react.  Their action will not end what currently ails football, but it is appropriate.  The politicians can ponder at their leisure why an underclass of white males erroneously feel entitled to carry out violent acts, on our streets as well as our stadiums.

Calling this a football problem, when it is obviously societal, will not wash.  It is not new either, violence like this has come and gone in waves for generations.

He talks too much sense for a Hun.

Looks like he longs for a Murthy return.

His record as our manager is shocking, a good early run in Europe saved him from criticism however any Rangers manager who gets knocked out of 2 cups vs Aberdeen, beats them once in 6, can’t beat Hibs in 3, Loses to St Johnstone at home, Killie away, Draws with Killie at home, loses to Dundee in the course of 3/4’s or so of a season is a record which would see most managers chased out of the club.

He is fast looking clueless sitting on the sidelines, for christ sake Graeme Murty had the measure of McIness and at this minute in time one of the biggest one trick pony managers in Scotland has Gerrard as his bitch.

I love listening to the guy speak, his ideas seem good, but his record as our manager is atrocious and serious questions must be asked, every game this season where we have went 1 behind, or play against a deep sitting team and we can’t win and Gerrard just can’t figure out how to do it, he isn’t and won’t learn it is becoming clear to see.

There are games like tonight where after 30 minutes you KNOW we aren’t winning, or even scoring a goal.

As for Mark Allen, recruitment has been woeful, Grezda, Barisic, Ejaria, Davis, Lafferty for starters, alot of money and no return from any of them, McAuley another and we are still dependant on the one and only good thing to come from the Caixhina reign.

Im sick of hearing Gerrard will learn, he needs time, he has good ideas, its Steven Gerrard, at the end of the day he is failing as our manager, and he is not learning, his ideas might be good but he is clearly not implementing them

  2. What is the Stars on

Ive been watching on premier sport. In the first half morelos has dived three times, first time in box, yellow card ( could have been pen) twice outside the box (very obvious dives but each one free in)

  3. Watching sportscene there. Going by the tele how did rangers lose that game , typical bbc , edited to suit . And rob McLean doing his propaganda job . And sad to see Steven Thompson turning into sportscene,s derek Johnstone .

Absolutely gutted with that shambles. I swear to God it’s like fkn groundhog day watching Rangers. Gutless does not even begin to describe them tonight. Not one of them deserves pass marks, fed up with the lot of them, wish the season finished tomorrow.

The season finished for us tonight. Bounce matches and two OF games to endure before we have yet another summer to regroup.

Groundhog Day indeed. Fed up of it

  6. Good post fro Stevie BC on arm.

Not to exonerate any of the Neanderthals who have thrown objects / punches whilst posing as normal footy fans, but…

    When we have in Scottish football;

    thoroughly corrupt administrators

    a convicted criminal club chairman

    inherently biased referees

    a totally biased, untruthful SMSM

a club pretending to be a liquidated, massively cheating club

police and assorted match stewards simply turning a blind eye to dodgy, offensive singing

    etc.

    Rather than query why a few neds throw bottles, flares or approach players on the park, the questions should be;

Why should anyone expect decent, upstanding citizens to support such a reprehensible sporting set up?

And further: why should they buy tickets for their kids and expose them to the total shambles that is Scottish football?

Absolutely no point in focusing on those who tarnish Scottish football at the stadiums – if there is no focus on those who tarnish Scottish football from their positions at the SFA / SPFL.

  7. Gooooooood morning CQN from a beautiful Garngad

The weather is shoite right enough, but what a beautiful morning, life is soooooo good being a Tim.??

Watch out for the smsm, giving it, well it’s no been that bad at least Steeeeeeeeeevie has closed the gap and beat Celtic at least once, so next year he could win the league, SC, LC, World Cup, Champions league, Europa league, Super Cup, in fact every cup in the woooooooorld. You know what the most gullible, ugliest, nastiest support in the world will believe the shoite and I think it’s feckin great.

Remember when the first offering of this club was going tits up, we were telling Journalists and they were covering it up, in hindsight that was class, they were unwittingly putting nails in the coffin and the same thing is happening again..

Oh any lurking Huns, good morning and……. You are an eternal segment of sheer and utter joy, as the also rans, behind us pesky immigrant Celts, oh that must eat away at you.

By “stunned” I think they’d like to konvey that the mighty, imperial steadfast and dignified combined forces o’ tha rainjurz normally and withooot much formality despatch such trifling challenges from sheep-based opposition…………………….

    Oh aye.

  15. Celtic have built a footballing phenomenon and traded happily on the bigger stage…..

…….It’s what we are famous for. All this despite and in spite of a hostile home media environment where any respect is at best given through klenched teeth……. and usually cynically framed in an ABC agenda.

Sport is entertainment and Celtic Park is a worthy venue for the Beautiful Game and other invited spectacles…….The Ugly Sister is a bitter old has-been ragin’ in the wings and if she suffers the whole kast is brought into the spotlight too.

I’m not that surprised at the differing treatment meted out to the Wugby Wallahs and their exaggerated, beery bonhomie vesrsus the Footballing fraternity, we’re not comparing like for like……but the outcomes have more in common that not. The Polis need to shape up here just as much a sa (tiny minority of ) football supporters do.

The mindset in Scotland appears not to have moved beyond crowd-control, cages and “captures”……

  17. The Sony Ad is still wreaking havoc here. It closed over the text twice as I typed this post.

On a seperate note, I read yesterday, I think from a borrowed Herald Sports section article, I am sure I read a quote from the new spokesman for the Police Federation, diddy David Hamilton, the guy who called for harmony and unity in fighting hooliganism, whilst, in the same breath, calling out the FAC as part of the problem.

Anyway, if someone can find the article, I am sure he states something in the order of “I used to support a West of Scotland team as a boy and I know what’s going on.”

    This guy is dangerous.

  22. Plucky sevco fail to secure place In Scottish Cup Semifinals.

Plucky sevco FC, the only team in the last eight of the Scottish Cup quarterfinals not to have won a major Scottish honour, came up short once again at home to Aberdeen. They were beaten at home 2-0 losing goals to Aberdeen’s Niall McGinn in 3 minutes and to Coffin Nailer McLennan in the 62nd minute.

The 2016 Finalists have once again failed to reach that pinnacle having gone out in the semifinals in 2017 and 2018.

Maybe this elusive trophy will eventually become theirs sometime in the future. If they do win it they will have to settle with having their name on the plinth unlike current holders Celtic who are only one of Three Glasgow clubs to have their name engraved on the famous old trophy. The others being Queens Park and the now defunct Third Lanark.
