Delighted for Wales last night but what’s happened to Jason Denayer? Since ending his loan period at Celtic a year ago he’s made 15 starts for Galatasaray. He was hooked on four of those occasions, which is a high percentage substituted for a defender. Gala won their first four league games with Jason in the team but won only once in his final 10 appearances. The point was made to me last night that he looked overweight.
In his 12 months at Celtic he polished his rough edges and established himself as a top performer in the most effective defence we’ve had in years. Manchester City were not prepared to let him return to Celtic as the reckoned he simply wasn’t being stretched.
He signed a new contract at Man City before heading for Turkey, but their new management team are unlikely to promote him to their first team squad. He’s unlikely to have impressed anyone at the Euros and Galatasaray won’t be as keen as Celtic were to have him back.
Is it possible we’re the only ones who know what he’s capable of? I’d have him back tomorrow.

Yes!
1-0
Christie
HH
Yes scott allen and ryan combine to score
Good involvement from ciftci too
Christie on a plate after good work SJ
Well deserved goal by young Ryan
BT
George is a good co-commentator
Hendo misses a good chance for 2
Liam straight at keeper – almost 2 nil
Needs composure
Jo hansen injured arm on the deck looks painful
Almost 2-0
Nice composure by Allan to set up Christie.
Sftb
I didn’t say he wasn’t
I just pointed out that he doesn’t seem to rate Cifti
glad br’s seen allan and christie together
Yep george is very ‘dry’ in commentary but good insights
Janko looking very good today.
If Bitton wants to stay he has to start showing for ball.
When young centre halts bring ball out he has never made himself available.
Good play right to left and scott A – shoukd have looked up from a good position n their box with 3 in the middle waiting
Celts moving it quickly
Positive attacking play !
Slack play gives them a chance
Almost 1-1 after they break
Janko and Oconnell mix up allows them to almost score !!
Good break by Graz.
Thought O’Connell was exposed
We’re taking fewer touches on the ball.
Sturm no 18 super fast and dangerous –
Scott Allan is impressive and showing good pace.
Who are the commentators?
BT
“I didn’t say he wasn’t ”
That was not my point. First time I’ve heard George int this role and, despite his dry voice, he has a feel for explaining the game.
2 good late chances for Graz as our LB is caught missing and neither DM is able to help
izzy caught up field – they should have scored
HT
They break but shoot over.
Centre mids left defense exposed by being absent from posts
Every time we misplace a pass in midfield we are immediately exposed to attack
Only bad finishing saving a 2 maybe 3 goal deficit.
Overall we coukd have a few more too. We are just shading this which is encouraging after a shaky start.
Played some very decent stuff there, better movement, crisper passing and fewer touches, getting it forward much quicker.
When he decides on his best 11, I can see us humping a fair few this season, hopefully in europe as well.
Janko looking strong and quick down right hand side,2 Young CBs doing well too
Better game than against Celje.
They had the best of the first 10 minutes but we clawed our way back on top.
Janko and Christie were the top performers. Good effort from McCart, Ciftci, Henderson and Allan.
Johansen is running hard but no quality yet. Biton has hit a few good passes but shows little effort. Both Janko and Izzy still caught upfield.
O’Connell has many qualities but is very slow on the turn
WHATS THE LINK BHOYS???
TET
Thanks for the link!

Jako living unto his early promise before injuries, and Christie and Allen in particular showing well.
Pity about Johansen and Botton – both have been pretty anonymous leaving the back 4 exposed too often.
Playing well, Lots of Movement, Nice play for the goal.
KLV
Saltires
We’ve also been unlucky with Cifti shooting into side net after rounding goalie and Liam’s lack of composure just after we scored
All in all, I like what I’m seeing.
Without commentary, it is difficult to identify players, but the overall view of pressing, passing and movement is quite impressive.
Janko is a big, mobile and not lacking in skill, lad.
