Delighted for Wales last night but what’s happened to Jason Denayer? Since ending his loan period at Celtic a year ago he’s made 15 starts for Galatasaray. He was hooked on four of those occasions, which is a high percentage substituted for a defender. Gala won their first four league games with Jason in the team but won only once in his final 10 appearances. The point was made to me last night that he looked overweight.
In his 12 months at Celtic he polished his rough edges and established himself as a top performer in the most effective defence we’ve had in years. Manchester City were not prepared to let him return to Celtic as the reckoned he simply wasn’t being stretched.
He signed a new contract at Man City before heading for Turkey, but their new management team are unlikely to promote him to their first team squad. He’s unlikely to have impressed anyone at the Euros and Galatasaray won’t be as keen as Celtic were to have him back.
Is it possible we’re the only ones who know what he’s capable of? I’d have him back tomorrow.

Italy will miss DelRossi but….
Wouldn’t put too much faith in the SMSM linked Celtic signings few if any knew about Dembele they were too busy with Graham or Fletcher amongst other non scoring strikers.
I’d be surprised if Scott Sinclair is a real Celtic target his career at 27 is a succession of loans at poorly English clubs.

I hope Italy and Germany can be as enjoyable as the game last night.
Its quite hard to be a neutral as I usually favour or bet one team over another. But tonight all I want is a good footie match with the most entertaining team winning.
I actually think Italy will win, but can they entertain while winning ?

I was in Rome recently on Republic day and went down to the parade. All military stuff ,not my usual type of fun, however the most emotional moment was when a platoon of Italian paratroopers marching in unison singing Fratelli d’italia saluted a bunch of veteran paratroopers, all in wheelchairs and many amputees. I confess to being very humbled at that moment. Especially when the crowd joined in the singing

Since 1970, Italy have played Germany in 8 competitive matches, discounting friendlies. Won 4 and drawn 4. I have them to win in extra time, and also on penalties, and to win the Euro at 11/2. Fingers crossed. Hope it’s a good game. Hail, hail.

Yes he had a mare but there’s no denying he’s a top talent with loads of potential. I would have him back in the Hoops in a heartbeat. A straight choice between Duffy & Denayer? There’s only one winner for me.
Might be hard to sign Joe Allen & or Robsen-Kanu now after their performances at Euro 2016 but I hope there’s truth to the rumours (With only Dembele in the door so far, perhaps there is). Joe Allen woud be a big improvement on Scott Brown & Kanu has proven what an effective out ball he can be. Both would be huge assets for us, I hope they sign.

Criticism of Jason Denayer is CQN OTT he’s just completed a successful loan period is a very competitive league where he played a lot of games at right back.

Germany are excellent at breaking down defences and I think they are deserved favourites but Italy have been a real breath of fresh air and they know how to Win.
