Before you get carried away, let me remind you: Our Premier League record of 25 consecutive wins in season 2003-04 came to an end at home to Motherwell, the game after a memorable European victory over Barcelona. Our 2007 win over European Champions, Milan, was followed by a harrowing game against Gretna at Fir Park, where the soon-to-be-liquidated minnows held the lead until the 87th minute.
The last 10 days have been mentally and physically exhausting for the players: a League Cup quarter-final victory, humbling Newco, then raising the bar further against Anderlecht, all three games away from home. There will be a natural drop-off in endorphins, even the coaches will find it difficult to squeeze determination to climb another summit so soon.
A home game against soft-looking Hibernian is exactly how 57 game unbeaten domestic runs come to an end.
It’s always a bit disconcerting to see the media report a story of discord at Newco, conditioned, as we were, by the blanket of control Sir David Murray shrouded news outlets with while at Oldco. Now news that Brother Pedro has banished Kenny Miller from the Newco first team squad.
Kenny is the innocent party in all of this, apparently. Troubles are the manager’s fault.
You and I both know that Pedro, Kenny and everyone else at Ibrox are woefully under-resourced to compete at the summit of the Scottish Premiership. That’s the only important part of this story, and the answer doesn’t lie on the pitch or in the dug-out on match days. At best, the person responsible for that is watching games poolside in South Africa.
All that campaigning to unseat the Easdales was for this. It’s a Brexit-style self-delusion, with an inevitable outcome.
Celtic FC Foundation, Great Scottish Run
I can’t tell you him much I appreciate the generous support ahead of the Great Scottish Run this Sunday, for the Celtic FC Foundation. As I said yesterday, we are not only about winning trophies, and the Champions League, this club is has deep roots in helping our fellow those in need.
I’ve never made porridge in Malawi, or fed the poor in Haiti, not would I know how to engage with Autistic kids, but you and me can do our bit for those who have the responsibility of delivering help where needed. What I can do is run on Sunday and ask for sponsorship. If you can help, do so at this MyDonate page.
Thank you.

Hail! Hail! Been a good week so far; although work commitments forced me to miss all but 10 minutes of the Anderlecht game.
Quick points of order- Kenny Misser as a coach? No thanks, nice guy and that’s that. Some Huns were raging that he didn’t get involved in the Broony v Pedro face off, completely ignoring the fact that Kenny and Broonie are close friends and go back a long way.
As for Pedro, this will not be nice. Entertaining but not pretty, the SMSM will slaughter him
And he doesn’t have the PLG pedigree to be used as a shield. Shame, he has been fun.
As for tomorrow. Only 2 things matter, firstly we keep our run going ; secondly I do not have a ticket.
Too busy to do the right thing this week means I am ticketless, any help would be appreciated.
Der Hun was 60-1 to lose -2 this afternoon. Anyone know what odds now?
Is “Kenny” the new “Walter”?
It amazes me that people can’t get the pronunciation of MORELOS’ name…Morales- Morelas
It was the same with Ronny, after two seasons some still called him DELIA…
Pronunciation Police Please…
Father Ted has no problem with the Tims having the whole Broomloan stand .
The LMS9 window is now closed. Updates on numbers will be posted shortly.

How many cheated trophies have been stripped the day then ?
How many Cellic supporters still pay £49 to, authenticate the same club lie ?
How many of the above, participated in, jelly n ice cream fuelled street parties, as they patted each other in the back, after they crowd funded a “statement” in the Hunday Herald, boohooing about the same club lie ?
How many of the above will admit to wearing Scooby Doo! pyjamas ?
Aye…..
The morra we’ll see why we missed the boat in not signing John McGinn.

I have viewed the discussion on Celtic players playing for Scotland with some interest. Although international football has diminished, IMO, it is still an honour to play for your country and most footballers will agree.
It also increases their stature and increases their financial worth to the club. It is inconconceivable that Celtic should prevent players playing for Scotland.
I totally agree with you that WGS should call up Callum McGregor. As stated many times on here, i think Callum is the most improved player at Parkhead. If WGS cannot see this then it his own pig headedness that could be his downfall. Not to mention an insult to Callum.
HH.

Maybe use him as target practise…
Fasdainthestirring? Smiley thing
Braw.
No need to be called check cheers mcerned about the Orcs having enough money to pay off Pedro and his caravan. They will be on 90 day terms in first year. As for the half wit who employed him? He may be more expensive to remove.
What a week to be a tim .
beat (with ease ) the newest club with the dumbest fans
Beat the champs of Belgium in their own back yard
Full steam ahead with the new hotel and museum
A win tomorrow would be the icing on the cake
Bit of a predictive text thing there. , all is meant was ” no need to be concerned “. As if anyone CGAF. HH
I’VEHADTOCHANGEMYNAME

Kenny Miller for a Celtic coach. Maybe driving one.
** LMS9 – THE STATS ARE IN **
What an incredible level of support for the latest competition. With entries now closed we have a record breaking 144 competitors vying for the first prize. And with the buy-back option for weeks 1 to 3 then there’s every chance that we could be looking at raising over £800 for the good causes and offering the same amount in prize money. Just fantastic, thank you.
Also great to say that 121 have already sent in their pick for this week (for 8 of them their game kicks off in half an hour, but more than that I can’t yet reveal!). So as soon as the other 23 are in I’ll be able to let everyone know where all the choices have gone.
Wondering if you are 1 of the 23? Well if you have just received an email from me then you are!
Thanks again.

Just done the Central Station tour with my daughter a couple of weeks ago and big Paul was a mine of information. It was a moving experience and i would highly recommend it to all.
the history is fantastic and it is all brought to life by Paul Lyons an enthusiastic and funny guy.
he has big plans for the future of the tour and will be getting a 1900s steam engine installed in the old disused victorian platforms next year, which will be renovated in period style.
great to see Fergus in Glasgow and looking in good health.
Word is wee Fergus is in Glasgow and will be at Paradise tomorrow for the game .
If so I hope he get’s a great reception .
GREENPINATA @ 7:06 PM,
Very True! The bhoys in the National squad not always lauded by our host and many CQNers but I think your comments are spot on.
The status of the International in Football has certainly waned but it’s still a source of pride and competition for the best and most ambitious players. At the end of the day, these are the players you want in your Team.
Strachan’s legendary single-mindedness with his misplaced loyalty has cost him at the start of this campaign but I still think CalMac exclusion was down to ~ one Tim too many. With Broonie and Stuart out maybe a chance to add him…
We’ll see… Fingers X
Hail Hail
For pedro and miller read le guen and fergishun
Has agent Miller been rumbled?
Words of wisdom from Ryan Jack..
“the only way to react is to have a reaction”
“The SFA have no plans at present to call up replacements despite call offs”

Sean South had no objections either!

A defensive Belgian champion paid for their errors in a landmark win away for Celtic. Team performance analysis.
SIONNACH ABU – It wouldn’t make sense to call up replacement players on the eve of the weekend games – the planned replacements might get injured!
I think there’ll be call ups on Sunday evening though.
accccciiiieeees
LOL at the Zombies.
J MCCORMICK
It turns outt BSR does not need my Season card for tomorrow (events see me in Embra tomorrow afternoon).
I will check with the boys at 5s tomorrow if anyone can use it, but, if not, I will give it to CRC or someone who can meet you at the stadium.
I am going out for the evening but I can be contacted by text or e mail
Sounds like Kev has handed the clown suit over to Fodders….
Bt Sport, deary me.”Next up we will be talking to Ryan Jack, this dhould be very interesting”.
“Well Ryan, has there been anything happening in the dressing room”
“Naw,we are all together”
“There has been reports of a split in the dressing room”
“Naw,ken like,we are all together. We go and eat together sometimes. We are altogether”
“So no problems then”
“Naw,we are all together.
“Well,that interview was interesting”
For the first time in my LIFE I actually want a Sevco/Rangers abomination to win…..long live Pedro
LOL
I want to claim some influence for Brer Hun’s start.
I picked them in the Last Man Standing for week 1, hoping that I would fall at the first. I will pay a buy back next week with a clear conscience.
Now that is some reaction Ryan Jack
