News from Korea today suggests we have agreed the transfer of Yang Hyun-jun from Gangwon. The player turned 21 two days before our last league game of the season against Aberdeen. Gangwon have won only two of their 22 league games and sit well adrift of safety in the relegation zone.
He is young and playing for a side who are surely the polar opposite of Celtic – always defending instead of always attacking. The journey to Europe, to Celtic Park, potentially Champions League nights and the ever-present need to win, need to always be productive, will take a while to adjust to.
A fee of around £2.5m is a huge amount for a Gangwon, so we can assume this lad has metrics which place him in the upper echelon of potential superstars. Whether that potential is realised will depend on how well Brendan Rodgers and his coaches develop him. We should expect little in his first season.
Yet another winger! He joins Daizen Maeda, Liel Abada, Marco Tilio, Sead Haksabanovic and James Forrest, while Mikey Johnston’s injury almost certainly precludes him from leaving on loan this summer. That makes seven fighting for two starting places.
That sounds a lot, but as my brother pointed out to me this morning, since the five subs rule came in, we change at least one winger and often both in each game, so any four have a realistic chance of gametime each matchday.
With two injured (as there are at the moment), that’s four from five, so maybe we are not overloaded on the wings (pardon the pun) afer all.

Good afternoon all from the Vicky Bar.

“a few of them are well over retirement age ,they need to be moved on ”
Hope we don’t start applying the same criterion to the blog.🤞
The old bus debate still baffles me.
For the sake of our club’s pride we should be nowhere near Parks. It is a company whose owner hates us and what we stand for. Who ramped up that hatred while chairman of sevco. Who did everything in his powers to create disharmony across Scottish football through constant and meaningless legal battles.
Buy our own bus. It would be a small but meaningful statement of independence and one that all fans would understand and support.

I think she was unseeded.
A weakened B team lost 4:1 to Alloa, who finished 4th in League One last season
First goal conceded by losing possession playing out from the back
Second goal was a header from a corner where two defenders were bullied.
Third goal was a deep cross where our tall right back was out jumped by a smaller forward.
We scored a beauty to make it 3:1 with a fine slip pass
But we conceded a late 4th goal as the team looked really tired.
It sounds worse than it was. They were well beaten but were missing 4 or 5 star players and Alloa are 2 divisions above them.

The fourth bus on the list was the one I can remember when I was first taken to see the ‘Tic.

Left click, I see big Joe saved a penalty 🤪
Just watched the unique angle highlights and have to say I really like the new strip. I bet it will grow on the fans once the team have played in it a few times.

Will grow on me close up………
Like a 12.25am burd lol
The punters moaning about the strip would probably not purchase it … (especially CQN age group) the kids love it
Mon the hoops 🍀
Did Joe Hart save a penalty today?????
The wheels on the bus go round and round.
Celtic Legend Aaron Ramsay signs for Cardiff
IMO beale has singled out cal mac as the player to shut down in our set up .
He tried Tillman to no avail and in the last game he put his ,so called most creative midfielder cantwell on man marking duties .
If Brendan coaches Callum on making better angles and taking advantage of a blind sided man marker we will open them up through the middle ,with ease
Looks like Beale is going for the ross county with better players angle this term .
The MIB will be needed more than ever this year to aid the game plan

The new hoops strip was inspired by the bottom stain glass window pane of the old Celtic FC sign that’s now in the main foyer.
Guys genuine question. No point scoring or whatever.
Can anyone tell me where the tyres are coming from without fossil fuels? ?
Cheers and HH.

The world is changing …
Hopefully your kids, grandkids & great grandkids rely less on the fossil fuels that have served you well
For a Celtic football site (and we all realise other topics are written about)
But you seem to love a wee post or a hundred about fossil fuels…….
It’s obvious you don’t like the Greens or the SNP so why always flirt about the subject instead of just posting what you actually want to say … while kidding on its about Celtic …
Rubber trees
The people who are going on Celtic and the using of Parks buses.
Yes his son might be a raging hun, ( i dont know, iam just guessing) if it was him who was allegedly doing the vickies to big Dermott at hampden when they got 1 over us. i could be wrong, again going on memory from Phil macs blogs.
But Dougie park gave some land to the grotto at carfin for the grotto to use. If my history is correct. he owned the car garage on the land next to it
I don’t think the man is who every body thinks he is. He might be a rangers man through and through. but i dont think he’s a hateful man. i dont know him or any of his family personally. Some people might just be talking into a mirror when they speak about him.
Rangers fans despise him so …

Your average electric car is more environmentally unfriendly after all the different minerals and metals used in the batteries are taken into account
Not to mention shipping them from africa (after we have raped the economy of those countries to get them)
The tyres are the least of it
What about all the plastics in the dashboards, seats and nearly every major engine part (seals etc)
Without oil we are doomed as almost everything we use is made from it in one form or another
Dundee United had a couple of cracking branded buses at CP ,a couple of months ago, sponsors could cover a bit of it rather than give this clown money

GFTB,
Are you real. What does the magic Celtic bus use for tyres. ?
If I may, I would suggest you use these tyres to actually attend a game.
No offence my friend.
HH.

My attendance at games, changed with my priorities in life changed, mate …
Home and away for many a season even a wee trip abroad … you come across as a season ticket holder who has probably never saw our team in another ground …
But if that’s your retort … fair play … obviously the Greens & the SNP and the fossil fuels dont merit a comment … in fact as a season ticket holder am pretty sure you have stayed in McChuils rather than travel the couple of miles to the park at times (your words)
Faithfully through & through 🍀
