PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN keeper Alphonse Areola has yet to conceded a goal in the French giants’ four Champions League games this season.

And the athletic shotstopper is in no mood to allow Celtic to wreck his unbeaten record when the teams face each other on Wednesday.

However, Areola reckons the Hoops will be looking to exact some sort of revenge after their five-goal mauling at Parkhead in September.

Unai Emery’s star-studded line-up prepared for the visit of Brendan Rodgers’ champions with a 4-1 home win over Nantes to move six points ahead of Monaco in Ligue 1.

PSG are undefeated at the Parc de Princes in 20 months and Areola insists Hoops – rated 28/1 by the bookies to triumph in the French capital – will be determined to create an upset.

The 24-year-old No.1 said: “It will be a worldwide surprise if we don’t beat Celtic at home, but, in football, you can never be over confident.

“There are no easy matches and Celtic will be motivated by the 5-0 scoreline in Glasgow and will want to demonstrate they are at a higher level and show more in attack.

“We don’t plan on a training match because every team wants to win in Paris and we need to be at our best every time.

“Celtic would be expected to play a counter attacking game and our defensive line must have total concentration.

“But I believe PSG have enough to beat any opponent in Europe and that we are superior to last season.”

Meanwhile French TV channel Canal Sport broadcasted a programme this weekend about just how magnificent the Celtic support is…
