Sterling work by Chris McLaughlin at the BBC who brought us the news that Duff and Phelps have rejected a bid for Rangers from Brian Kennedy, the owner English rugby club, Sale Sharks. Earlier today Kennedy suggested the administrators get their act together and move towards appointing a preferred bidder.
A preferred bidder may now be identified, if not yet publicly announced.
I can imagine the process to whittle bidders down:
‘Tell me, do you own Ibrox Stadium or security and floating charge over it?’
‘No? Ah, that’s a problem, as we don’t have it either. Where do you propose to play matches?’
‘Forget that one, someone tipped off St Mirren.’
‘Don’t take that tone with me, we’re doing our best in difficult circumstances and we’ve not been paid a pound. Yet.’
Craig Whyte controls the security and floating charge over Ibrox. He provided Ticketus with security for the money they due on the season tickets they purchased, worth in the region of £40m.
Mr Whyte and Ticketus, or a proxy, are the only show in town – and that show is not a CVA. Everything else is just shooting the breeze at £600 per hour.

The Pantaloon duck..
That would be the…
Lake Of Fire…
Cultsbhoy
Indeed.
No need to push this river it is flowing all by itself.
You can tell by listening to Keys and Gray on Talksport.
They were falling for the everything is gonnu be ok line fed to them by msm agents like Keith Jackson.
But even they are now asking the questions that the IBs © have been answering weeks ago. They should invite RTC to comment rather than push an agenda even they are losing faith in. Reality is inexorable, it unfolds regardless and contemptous of who is in charge of the airwaves (or print)
Keith Jackson was down in the mouth that CW would not do the right thing. Why did D&P not tackle the ownership issue first ask K&G,. Why indeed. As for the BTC being a red herring, it looks more like a shark that could eat Jaws
Personally I think CW is playing a blinder so far.
Cults
I guess your right mate, it’s just so frustrating with all that’s going on. It was bad enough being up against TFOD but it’s now TFOD, sfa, spl, gang of 10, salmond and his “evening things out law”, jury’s and now judges!!!!!
Did I miss any1 out???

Re: Dundee United situation with the theiving Huns –
Why don’t Celtic, as a magnanimous gesture in keeping with the Hun muppet’s statement, pay Dundee United from the Ibrox ticke tmoney we still owe, and deduct the sum before paying Der Huns?
Not sure if this is tongue in cheek but the money is payable to Rangers FC PLC (in administration). Paying Dundee United wouldn’t discharge our obligation to pay RFCPLC(IA) so they could still come after us. ItPaying Dundee United is a financial risk that should not (and will not) be entertained. Moreover, settling one club’s debts with another club would be something the shareholders/regulators might take a (dim) view of.
Offline until Saturday so anyone emailing me about donating Celtic strips i will reply as soon as i can, amazing response so far so thanks again to all involved.
Should be an amazing week, Petra again tomorrow & Bethlehem next Friday.

If the huns r still around will celtic request ticket dosh upfront again??
As a shareholder of the club, if the board didn’t require this, and thereby unnecessarily and recklessly placed assets of the club (tickets) in a financially vulnerable position, it would certainly get my dander up. No danger of us failing to sell 60,000 for that game among ourselves.

gerryguk7 as well as the ticket money I’d be looking for a rather large damage deposit.
would like to say I’m surprised by the “assault with a bomb” farce but I’m not; and seeing as Neil was apparently not assaulted at Tynecastle last year, I wouldn’t be surprised if these guys got off scot free.
welcome to salmon’d scotland, where singing a naughty song is apparently worse than making and sending bombs.
outrageous.

Only Craig Whyte and his legal team know what security they gave Ticketus in order that they got the 24 Million and one thing is for cetain Ticketus know what they are doing they are not known for flinging there clients monies into a deep dark hole. The time will come when Ticketus and Craig Whyte will make there move I believe and have no doubts what so ever that right from the begining of this Fiasco Craig Whyte has had a plan.So there can be any number of bidders they still have to get past Craig Whyte and also lurking in the background HMRC. Neil Young and Ray Davies are both gods in the Pantheon of Rock.
Rays brothers Tears of a Clown is a fantastic Kinks track. A wonderful backdrop to Rays incredibly prolific output.
Love the raw edgy “grunge” like guitar solo in Hurricane- Neil Young Is in that rare sphere just below Dylan…amongst Lennon, Marley, Springsteen, Van Morrison, stevie Wonder, Lou Reed, The Stones & The Doors, Marvyn Gaye (for Whats Goin On, Clapton, Hendrix, The Who, Pink Floyd, Beach Boys…well you get the general idea.
A true giant of rock culture.
Try Em rather than E7 in “Like a Hurricane” It works better.

Wonkyradar I,m sure you mean Death of a Clown by Dave Davies.I know I know nitpicking. Hail Hail Hebcelt
Definitely Em followed by an open G before the next line. Relative minors and all that.
Love Death of a Clown but Shangri-La has to be my favourite Kinks song (closely followed by Dead end Street).

Yogijunior—Scotland is worse exactly because of the way NL has been treated. I’m an old guy now, but discrimination was rife when I was young. I remember a match between Linfield and Distillery in 1962. Distillery beat them 4-2, the last time they (Distillery) won the league. They attacked the White’s supporters at half time and full time, and pelted the White’s captain as he took the trophy. There wasn’t a word about it on TV,radio, or newspapers. Sound familiar? A cop’s word was taken against a Catholic every time. They owned the Government, the cops, the judiciary, and had the “B” Specials as back-up for good measure. It took a war (and it was a war, make no mistake) to change them. Scotland will not resort to that, but the polititcians need to learn from N. Ireland. I was at a freindly between Celtic and Cliftonville where the cops charged the crown. Absolute shower, the lot of them. Where the main change has come is through the new media. CQN, RTC, and Phil, and I suspect quite a few bloggers from here have changed the landscape. Tell a lie now and you’ll be found out. The SFA are digging their own grave if they don’t sort the mess out. I don’t want to see Celtic leaving Scotland but what alternative will they have?
More excuses for a delay…

Assault. With a bomb
Friend from Belfast said,
If it was Belfast, they would have been remanded in custody for a couple of years and then found guilty and sentenced to at least 10 years for possessing a bomb!FFS they were even sentencing kids in England to two years for inciting to riot on Facebook. Strange legal system you’s have in Scotland, Freddie.
you couldn’t make it up……..this is Scotland 2012.
Yer aw spot on. It wiz death of a clown.
Thought it was rang win ah wiz typin it!
Great song though- if a bit maudlin.
I do take it that it will be strictly “cash up front” for Rangers when the come a-calling in a few weeks time?
No way could we ever risk giving them a penny of credit. No cash, no tickets, a full house of Tims, £42 is a bit steep, £30 per head is reasonable.
Cavansam good choices but “I,m not like everybody else” and “Celluloid Heroes” -live versions do it for me. Hail Hail Hebcelt
