  5. So good to have Celtic back on centre stage in our lives..

What a breath of fresh air compared to wall to wall coverage of a dangerous, deluded madman in number 10.

    HH.

  6. Art of War. Sounds like a painful exit from the Tour. Hope healing is swift and you are back on it hale and healthy soon.

  7. Good morning from a damp North Staffs

Grandson tested negative so it’s back to childminder duties today.

Big Jimmy – sorry if I’m confusing you

I meant do you run on windows, safari, Google Chrome, Firefox, duck duck go etc.

  8. Art of war

That’s gotta hurt – here’s hoping for a speedy recovery. Your good lady should go away on her own 🤭

  9. Art of War: best of luck in your recovery. Had two bike accidents already this year, worst part was the rib injuries.

Big Jimmy: always nice to see posting on here.

  10. Sipsini: my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at the loss of your father, R.I.P. I will pray for the repose of his soul at Mass this morning and for the Lord to be with you all at this sad time.

Not that this is CurrantQuickNews, but I was puzzled by the magnanimous accolades about the near-departed Joe Aribo – aside from quite a lot of nice touches I thought he was quite a limited player with nae pace and limited heading ability (nice soft feet on him right enuff)

So I Googled ‘Joe Aribo limitations’

And I instantly found a bunsite pointing out that Joey had the same stats as Greg Doherty ;)

Who will he displace in that Southampton mid; Ward-Prowse, Armstrong, Redmond or Elyounoussi ?

    6mill EPL pinewarmer IMO.

  13. All fridges being removed from number 10 …

No hiding places left for bawjaws…

    😜

  14. As I watch the Whitehall Circus with absolute delight, I think of my old sparring partner Macjay , a huge fan of Trump, Boris & Brexit,

Just wondering what he would be posting this morning.

    God be good to him.

    Good Morning Celts.

Was it just me or did anyone else enjoy a sense of smug satisfaction looking at last night’s CL Qualifier results? Did you, like me, have thoughts of – Aye there’s the minor teams battling it out for a place at the top table alomgside our Bhoys.

Well, it was such a rare experience for a Celtic supporter that you just can’t resist a wee supercilious gloat.

PS. For the avoidance of doubt, the above is entirely tongue-in-cheek, but I genuinely relish the thought of looking down on the Huns as they face THEIR big qualifier.

  16. Happy Birthday to the man himself, Celtic’s number 4️⃣9️⃣ Jamesy Forrest.

Sorry to hear that mate get well soon. I recently moved out of the city but prior to that I lived in and around Pollokshaws Rd since 86. I’m also a keen cyclist but generally try to avoid busy roads now. Traffic in the SS has risen exponentially in the last few months and its scary on a bike. So far managed to avoid any contact with motorists but it does take away much of the enjoyment if you are stressed that some loony may try to kill you.

    All the best.

Agreed, I do not miss ECL qualifiers they are the most painful stressful games of the season.

I’ll enjoy the huns pain :-)

  19. Boris has a plan he is on the phone to ipox to find out how he can go into liquidation but continue as if nothing has happened.

Not a patch on what you are going through but my last cycling injury was caused by a patch of black ice on the bus lane outside Pollock Park. I lost control came down pretty hard and slid into the middle of the road I was lucky there was a gap in the traffic. Only when I got up and recovered the bike did I realise my thumb was now at right angles to the rest of my fingers, ouch. Getting my glove off was a tad painful!! Had to walk home and go to the Viccy. Now I never cycle when its below 5c.

  21. It’s over for Boris the Liar, A pity I was really enjoying all the Tories now lining up proclaiming how they couldn’t compromise their integrity,

They couldn’t spell the word up to now.

  22. When you move the rock — it is horrible what crawls out.

BoJo was dome for because he had half a dozen ditchers and that was it.

Travelled very light throughout his career and didn’t have a Team BoJo in Westminster.

His falling is very poignant given the crimes he has committed and the lack of real action by the establishment / his peers — compare and contrast with the joint enterprise trials in Manchester.

Scummy Ba**ard — would not cover it.

  23. Whilst it is lovely to gain direct entry to the CL Group, nothing beats the euphoria of successfully coming through the qualifiers. Before the euphoria must come the stress and anxiety. It’s a prerequisite. Hapoel Beer-Sheva away and Karagandy at home, spring to mind. The best feeling in the world when that final whistle goes.

  24. The response of strands of public to all this will be very revealing.

There are far too many out there who think that he is the real seal.

Worthy of praise — a real person who gets things done.

WTF — but it is a far too common refrain.

To many he is their own champion.

Poundland WC — and WC was not up to much.

Second rate journalist who got very lucky.

As the old story goes — anyone who likes BoJo doesn’t really know him.

  25. Boris puts the phone down after calling ipox – no-one will swallow that – I better resign

    JIMDOM

You’re right. When we got through the qualifiers, it was a great feeling of euphoria. Like winning a cup.

  27. ART OF WAR on 6TH JULY 2022 11:03 PM

All the very best from a fellow cyclist.

Actually, I hesitated in using the word `cyclist`. Had I been doing 25 mph, the name of the thoroughfare would have to have been Pollockshaws HILL :-)).

  28. Big Jimmy

Good to see you back on. Now all I need is one of your `jokes` to let me know it really is you ! :-))

  29. Cannot believe the comments about missing the qualifiers.

Missing the elation of actually winning through …

Like a battered spouse missing the elation of the beating stopping.

PL has conditioned far too many in the support to clap at failure.
