Celtic will receive £1.65m from the Uefa revenue distribution system for participating in the Champions League play-off round against Helsingborgs. Add to that around £1m gate money and the guarantee of at least three Europa League games, with Uefa distribution money, you can calculate the value of Wednesday’s win over HJK Helsinki as no less than £6m (all figures are net of vat). Quite a prize for one game.
Compare this to the projected income from newco The Rangers, who claimed to have sold 25,000 season tickets. If all sales were at full adult prices (£258 in vat), net income would be £5.375m.
Should Celtic overcome Helsingborgs and reach the Champions League group stage, the club will return to a remarkably strong financial footing.

I was joking!!!
It’s quieter on here than a Corpse Club Supporters bus on the way back from Peterhead………
@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ (that’s tumbleweed in case yer wonderin’!)
Pardew did not want to send his players to SPL as they would learn nothing in a poor league. I wonder what he thinks about 7 coming to Division 3!
When Green first appeared on the scene I posted an article from one of his co investors who let the cat out the bag that the plan was to use rangers as a feeder club for various players that they and their associates had exclusive rights for. He gave the interview because rangers had just received a transfer ban by the SFA and he thought the plan was fecked.
In short, stupid huns season ticket money pays for their players development, coaching and training. They sell the player on and pocket the fee.
Poor stood huns. They dont own their ground, training park, carpark or players and they thought Craig Whyte was a charlatan…
Surely allowing 9 new players from Newcastle, plus buying players with money that they should be using to pay off their debts is making a mockery of the postponed punishment of not being allowed to sign players for a year?
To beer or not to beer…….that is the question?
Whether it is nobler to have a cup of tea with the missus……
Beer wins it then.
The ultimate humiliation a feeder club for Newcastle…

SFA have apparently agreed 9 Newcastle players can play for Sevco.
SPL 2 jigsaw pieces falling into place?
==========================================
Where’s that info from?
Phil Mac alluded to something similar.
Anyone know the rules?
And why do I care? Unless of course New The Rangers really is Old Rangers in disguise and is just trying to avoid it’s bills. Which it is.
Rangers 1872 = £120 million plus debts to be paid back, sporting punishments for EBT scandal (SCANDAL MSM – that’s what it is) going back 12 years.
The Rangers 2012 = no history, no trophies.
Hobsons choice, but you wet the bed it ain’t gonna be comfortable if you try to stay lying in it…….

Stick to the tea. Last time you started drinking this early you ended up a jibbering eejit :-))))
It would be illegal,if not immoral, for the Newkies to gift der SS 9 players, unless of course they just want shot of them, and the players relish East Stirling in the depths of a Scottish winter.
Rab Douglas is still in goals for Dundee WTF…
Falls off chair…
ht
Am usually jibbering idiot without the drink!!!
ht
……too late anyway!
Slurp.

Good on ye, I’m sweating like a wilderbeast having just cut the back grass. Front hedge to go and then I’ll be joining you :-)

SFA approval is in the Chris McLaughlin story on BBC website.
Can’t see that it’s possible if the SFL follow their rulebook – so probably true.

How many stories did the Daily Record and Evening Times run about Murray Park and its conveyor belt of talent and now they are a feeder club for Newcastle. lol!!!
Superb Jim Mc Inally had his Bhoys up . They were robbed by a scrappy equalisers. The sun is out, what a day..great result cos it stops the incessant spin bout the reincarnated regurgitated ugly ones returning to the SPL in 3 yrs. dream on!! Try 33!!
The pain and defiance on the air waves is palpable . SNYDE thought they were being smart going to some place called the crystal palace. Given the result They only got a few defiant cream buns to speak..
The peepel are hurtin.
Wait till they actually GET found out..
Oh happy days …

Once more it really is quite astonishing. Morals, ethics, humility, taking your medicine – all concepts alien to them and their ‘culture’ – a culture they are visiting on many towns and cities in scotland and the north of ireland today coincidentally – it being the ‘black 12th’. Suppose humility is hard when you are brought up on feelings of superiority and self righteousness.
Still, delusions of grandeur suit them well.
Looking forward to playing Real Madrid – another establishment club with mountains of debt!
I would take with a pinch of salt the ‘ 9 Newcastle players’ part of the story
Chris McLaughlin has got more facts wrong in his ‘exclusives’ than i care to remember
If they get 9 players they will all be from their youth system which will be fecking hilarious!
Pardew will never allow decent players going to Division 3.
They can bring 9 or 19 or 29 players up from Newcastle,
they’ll still be in the 3rd Division.
Hi Ghuys, Salve salve ;-
Celtic know how to pay their taxes
Hector will tax till the day is done
There’s not a team called the Glasgow rangers
no not one no…. not one.
Can anyone think of a wee tune to set this to?

Hail Hail LiviBhoy
It’s a great day for the Celtic, for the bhoys in green & white….
The bhuns have fallen further in the mire…..
Fat sally has become the auld town crier….
It’s a great day for the Shamrock, for the wearing of the green..
Our leader Neil just keeps the team improving……
The bhuns are getting worse, and that’s amusing….
It’s a great day for the good ghuys, a grand old day …… !!!!!!!
the sniggering sounded like mutly :o)
Shouldn’t be surprised but how awful are those commentators at Brazil Mexico game, and Garth puts the dodgy England keeper in his team of the tournament.
Apart from the hilarity of the result today it is ultimately meaningless to us.
What we need to keep reminding the world and the tax authorities is that Rangers stiffed the tax payer for tens of millions. They stiffed football clubs and small businesses for more millions.
If this new club wears their strip, takes money from their supporters, plays in their stadium, trains at their training complex (all of which was bought for the price it took to settle Duff and Phelps Administration bill) then it ought also to carry the dishonourable past and the debts of the old company.
How do we ensure that this does not go away? Because as much as we may not like it this new club and its followers think it is the old club and are acting like the old club. nothing, apart from their ability to compete at the top of scottish football, will have changed unless they accept and pay the debts or scrub it all and start as a genuinely new club.
In my mind, brought up as I was to value honesty and integrity and to take the consequences if I didn’t live up to those values, the way I saw them ‘uns in D3 was like this: they develop a good lower league squad, they build slowly and do enough to get promoted as quickly as possible adding better players as they go. They learn from Oldco and keep the heads down, act honestly, take the medicine and come back reformed. They might even make attempts along the way to rid themselves of the sectarian element, really make a big effort to come back better.
But I didn’t figure on just how ingrained their ‘culture’ is or how much the media and the football authorities ‘need’ rangers or something that looks and smells just like them.
They are beyond redemption. I think we should just be aiming to destroy them.
No humility, no apology, no remorse – that’s OK, but the price is no forgiveness. Debts back on the table, consequences have to be faced, punishments taken. Or they will be condemned forever as the club for cheats, liars, thieves.
just got stuck behind a klu klux clan march in ML6. funny thing is they were being followed by guys wearing replica tops of some obscure third division club
SSB predicting a 5+ victory at ipox next week ……. Whit are they like…..hurting, hurting bhuns
This is feckin’ brilliant…..
They’re in deep depression / shock ……

Sky don’t care what division they are in, only the viewing figures and if enough people watch them, then Sky will be happy to keep showing them.
Why Celtic fans want to watch them on TV is beyond me.
