‘WIN WAS CRUCIAL,’ FORREST

JAMES FORREST insisted it was crucial Celtic beat Hamilton Accies last night after the 2-2 draw with Hibs at the weekend.

The Hoops stretched their domestic unbeaten run to 69 games with their 3-1 win at Parkhead.

Olivier Ntcham opened the scoring in the 12th minute with an unstoppable volley, but Danny Redmond levelled before Forrest and Scotty Sinclair fired in a doouble salvo before the break.

The Scotland international winger said: “It was really important after Sunday that we got the three points, scored a few goals and to feel good about ourselves again.

“They came out and made it hard for us and once they scored, it was important we got back ahead again pretty quickly and we managed to do it, which was good.

“The manager knows he can rotate us as we have a strong squad. We have five games to go in December and we are just looking at the next game and feeling confident for that.”

Forrest also paid tribute to Ntcham who put in a superb display. He added: “He has looked really good in the last few games.

“He’s a good player and he has scored a couple of goals as well and that’s good for everyone and himself.”
