There appears to be nothing more than a desire to move-on behind Johan Mjallby’s decision to leave Celtic at the end of the season but it leaves the original four man coaching team of Neil Lennon, Alan Thompson, Mjallby and Garry Parker reduced down to two. The management team needs to be rebuilt.
Assistants do more than just put the cones out and get players go through their paces. They are an extra pair of eyes and ears, at the side of the field and in the dressing room. When they are most effective, they are a source of learning, bringing improved techniques and ideas into the club, forcing the manager to reconsider established practices.
Strip some of the greats of their productive partners and they proved to be prosaic underachievers; Cough without Taylor was a sorry sight. By contrast, Ferguson played the assistants’ game perfectly, swapping them every few years to enhance his stock with fresh flavour.
Alan Thompson was not directly replaced but irrespective of the speculation which constantly surrounds the club, a wind of change will blow through Lennoxtown this summer, filling the gaps in the original four man team.
If you’ve wondered about getting involved with some of the charity events surrounding the club there is a perfect opportunity coming up. The Foundation is having a badge day at the Dundee United game on Sunday 11 May. This is an important opportunity to anchor the ethos of the club to its roots by engaging thousands of Celtic fans in the simple act of buying a badge for charity.
All monies raised will go towards supporting those afflicted by homelessness in the Glasgow area. I volunteered to help on the day and offered to put the word around, over 100 bucketeers are needed. If you want to help, all you’ll need to do is turn up early for the game, wear a hi-vis vest and hold a bucket, but I can assure you, you’ll enjoy it. Email the foundation with your name and phone number: cfcfvolunteer@celticfc.co.uk .

Good morning friends from a dry, calm, bright and positive looking East Kilbride.
Morning Jobo. Mild in Morayshire. I’m just off nightshift and putting off going to sleep. Whits your take on renew or naw debate?
Morning guys and girls is it true Killie could be in trouble with SPFL? Twitter is full of it
Macjay
MT posted the facts.
I’d imagine those not renewing are so upset by the action and inaction of the club that they feel they they need to express their reasons for doing so. I get that, completely.
Anyway, must dash have a good evening.
Morning Jobo and adieu.
Skyisalandfill –
I will be renewing. If “The Rangers” remain in existence over the next couple of seasons and visit our stadium my seat will remain empty.

What information do they have about the ” action and inaction of the club ” ?
Perhaps they could share it with the rest of us.
Cheers,pal.
Good morning all.
Macjay what part of police releasing my son without charge and no charge been brought by pf to date yet celtic have banned him do you not believe. As I said he has been a season ticket holder since we were in Hampden and is 26 years old. The reason I posted that I was not renewing was others had spoke of not renewing for different reasons. I merely explained why I was not and stated so. No lies and no attempt to discredit the club merely a fact. The people who know me on this blog will tell you what celtic mean to me and my family that is why I am astounded by this action.
98 years ago today- Dublin. Éirí Amach na Cásca. The shots that cracked an Empire.
IRISHMEN AND IRISHWOMEN: In the name of God and of the dead generations from which she receives her old tradition of nationhood, Ireland, through us, summons her children to her flag and strikes for her freedom.
Having organised and trained her manhood through her secret revolutionary organisation, the Irish Republican Brotherhood, and through her open military organisations, the Irish Volunteers and the Irish Citizen Army, having patiently perfected her discipline, having resolutely waited for the right moment to reveal itself, she now seizes that moment, and, supported by her exiled children in America and by gallant allies in Europe, but relying in the first on her own strength, she strikes in full confidence of victory.
We declare the right of the people of Ireland to the ownership of Ireland, and to the unfettered control of Irish destinies, to be sovereign and indefeasible. The long usurpation of that right by a foreign people and government has not extinguished the right, nor can it ever be extinguished except by the destruction of the Irish people. In every generation the Irish people have asserted their right to national freedom and sovereignty; six times during the last three hundred years they have asserted it to arms. Standing on that fundamental right and again asserting it in arms in the face of the world, we hereby proclaim the Irish Republic as a Sovereign Independent State, and we pledge our lives and the lives of our comrades-in-arms to the cause of its freedom, of its welfare, and of its exaltation among the nations.
The Irish Republic is entitled to, and hereby claims, the allegiance of every Irishman and Irishwoman. The Republic guarantees religious and civil liberty, equal rights and equal opportunities to all its citizens, and declares its resolve to pursue the happiness and prosperity of the whole nation and all of its parts, cherishing all of the children of the nation equally and oblivious of the differences carefully fostered by an alien government, which have divided a minority from the majority in the past.
Until our arms have brought the opportune moment for the establishment of a permanent National, representative of the whole people of Ireland and elected by the suffrages of all her men and women, the Provisional Government, hereby constituted, will administer the civil and military affairs of the Republic in trust for the people.
We place the cause of the Irish Republic under the protection of the Most High God. Whose blessing we invoke upon our arms, and we pray that no one who serves that cause will dishonour it by cowardice, in humanity, or rapine. In this supreme hour the Irish nation must, by its valour and discipline and by the readiness of its children to sacrifice themselves for the common good, prove itself worthy of the august destiny to which it is called.
Signed on Behalf of the Provisional Government.

You call it drivel and then confirm the fact that Irishmen played a role in the creation of the British Empire.
It was an Irishman who subjugated India to British Rule. This you call an irrelevance.
You say:
“Ireland did not willingly chose to participate or profit from the British Empire in fact the opposite is true.”
The former British Empire is full of Irishmen and their descendants. Many went there of their own volition and continue to do so.
My point was straightforward. You had a real go at the role Scotsmen have played in the worst aspects of Empire building.Quite right too.
Reasonable to look at the role played by Irishmen. No?
Good morning
All very pleasant I see, lovely.!
I will be re-newing for my son and I

Evening,pal.
No reason to disbelieve.
Would never dream of commenting until I knew all the facts.
—————————————————————————————————————-
None of my comments were directed to you .If they had been I would have specifically said so.
My principal concern is the welfare of Celtic.
Is it possible that, under the circumstances, the club has a legal obligation to ban your son?
I don`t know, and I would be reluctant to condemn the Club until I know all the facts.

Spot the deliberate mistake.
“COLIN Stein, scorer of two of the most important goals in Rangers’ history, believes the recapture of Kris Boyd would expedite a return to the top flight for the Ibrox club.”
MT – absolutely sickened by our Clubs treatment of your son. Like others I would be asking the question why is LG allowed anywhere near the ground when your son who has not been charged is banned!
Jamesgang/derbyshirebhoy/tallybhoy just catching up will keep you all in my prayers

MIGHTY TIM
Just in from a nightshift and read back a bit.
Over the last few days in particular,a number of posters have stated their unwillingness to renew, for various though related reasons.
While acknowledging that their reasons are valid-and largely shared by myself-I have always requested that they reconsider and renew.
I’m by no means a fan of the board, but damaging Celtic is the only thing the huns will get from the mess they,of their own making, are in.
I’m not even gonna attempt to try that with your good self. The entire episode involving your son is a disgraceful example of the way in which the fans have been left at the mercy of the whims and vagaries of poor legislation and partial policing of it. That it has had the approval at every stage by the club puts it at odds with its supporters.
I hope you will find it within yourself to return, but more importantly,I hope that your son’s prospects for the future are not damaged by selective leaking of allegations which have-clearly-no basis in fact.
Meantime, sound professional advice and the prevailing of sanity are your best choices. That the latter breaks out in the boardroom is too much to ask for, sadly.
See ya on the tenth,mate.

Pick me Miss, i know it (*waves arm in air furiously*)
Although there are 2 mistakes – it seems that words beginning with ‘re’ are being wrongly used with gay abandon when speaking of the current inhabitants of that stadium in the ibrox area of glasgow

Ahhh! I spotted that too but forgot to point it out. Honest!

Last night, I posted about some nonsense being spouted about Sevco on Reporting Scotland. Reading back, I did it right in the middle of a conversation you were having with other posters about a very important issue regarding your son. Didn’t check, so hope it didn’t look like an attempt to disrupt the posts.
Yesterday, I had been talking to myself, unaware that a new article was up, and so when I heard the RS report, I thought I’d be really topical, and first to comment about it. I say talking to myself, but Billy Bhoy05 seemed to have made the same mistake,so we had a brief exchange about favourite matches, before I started hearing my echo again.
By the way, I told him, if I could go back to any game, it would be England 9 Scotland 3! He took it well.
Hope everything works out for your son.

Also the Oscar Slater frame referenced. Shocking tale.

I checked his age in case he was lying about it!
Btw,he reckons he was past it when he returned to Ibrox. He was 28,ffs.

I hope a proper and fair outcome comes about re your sons situation.
