Ticketus, one of Rangers three major creditors, Craig Whyte and HM Revenue and Customs, being the others, have announced they will no longer work with the Blue Knights (or it is Blue Knight) consortium in an effort to buy Rangers.
Ticketus were crucial to Duff and Phelps hopes of being able to acquire Craig Whyte’s shares in Rangers. Although anyone who actually listened to Mr Whyte will know how unlikely this was, their withdrawal from the process formally brings an end to this fantasy.
Without Rangers shares, Duff and Phelps cannot sell the club. Mr Whyte also has security over Ibrox stadium, so they cannot sell the stadium either.
Some weeks ago suggestions were leaked to the media that Ticketus had agreed to forgive all but £10m of their debt. It was even suggested this figure would be repayable on easy terms. Now the company will take their place alongaspirationsside other creditors. In the event Rangers remain in business long enough to sell tickets for next season, revenue from the first (circa) 25,000 tickets sold for each game goes directly to Ticketus.
The charade is over.
Those hoping to see a club resembling Rangers form in the future have had months to secure a stadium, club licence, stadium, players, stadium, and commercial infrastructure. Instead they have stalled, chasing an unattainable CVA.
There is no time left, there will be no CVA and the chances of a phoenix next season is increasingly remote.

This is all getting very confusing.
Ticketus owns tickets. But it needs something to sell the tickets for. So they talked to the Blue Knights and nearly had a deal. Then they talked to Bill Ng to make a better deal but Bill Ng walked away. So they talked to the Blue Knights again.
The Blue Knights had at first ridden to the rescue. They might have been about to be declared as preferred bidders after one of the many deadlines, but then they stepped back. They might be stepping forward again but not now with Ticketus.
Brian Kennedy bid even though he didn’t want to bid and was rejected. He then bid again verbally even though he still didn’t want to bid and was again rejected. And he might have talked to the Blue Knights, perhaps even backed the Blue Knights but has never actually joined. He might now do a deal with the Blue Knights although he really doesn’t want to apparently.
And Bill Miller has gone very quiet. The Tennessee tow tycoon was laughed at for his mad bid. But then when his incubator was the only bid left at one of the deadlines he looked about to be named the preferred bidder. Instead he set another deadline that, like all the deadlines before it, seems to have been ignored by everyone. He hasn’t been heard form since.
Meanwhile Craig Whyte is still laughing. Duff & Phelps are still running up a huge bill. And the gorilla is smiling in the corner.
Isn’t it about time for another deadline?

just spoke to hugh keevins about the very points you raised, shooey says the octopus has signed a confidentiality clause which prohibits the information being discussed far less investigated or by the media, again in line with everything else regarding this process we await the fine detail being leaked either by Paul, RTC The Donegal Journalist or Alex Thommo.
