“My Danish colleague from the national team, Nicklas Bendtner, was there for a couple of years before leaving. Wolfsburg are undoubtedly a top German team. It will be a good test for us and we will need to be at our best to beat them.
“It’s always important to get that good feeling, but we also have to make a difference. In pre-season, it’s more about seeing it in the fuller picture instead of going into one game and seeing it as progress.
“In pre-season, we have a limited amount of time to do our all and do our best, so it’s quite compressed and it’s difficult to judge the games by the results, but it would be ideal if we could get a good start in front of our own fans.”
