YANG INJURY FEAR

YANG HYUN-JUN has suffered a hamstring injury scare on duty with South Korea in the Asian Games.

The in-form winger has missed Celtic’s last four games after being called up for his nation’s Under-23 squad.

However, an injury problem forced Yang out of his country’s quarter-final win over Vietnam and he is now a doubt for the last-four encounter against China on Wednesday.

The Hoops flanker, speaking in a report in the Scottish Sun, admitted: “I have a minor injury to my hamstring.

“Right now, I am preparing and the goal is a quick recovery and reaching the semi-finals and the finals.

“I feel really sorry for my team-mates. I also feel like I’m not being of any help.”

Yang, 24, was called up as an over-age player after making 10 appearances for the senior team.

The timing of his selection for his country was bad news for the champions with the wide Bhoy hitting good form and even claiming the points-clincher in the 2-1 victory over St Mirren in Paisley just before he left for the tournament in Japan.
