YANG HYUN-JUN, who was on the brink of leaving Celtic last summer, has signed a new four-year contract.
As he completed the deal, the South Korean international winger insisted: “My future is here.”
Yang was so close to a £3million switch to Birmingham City to team up with ex-Hoops team-mates Kyogo Furuhashi and Tomoki Iwata before the proposed move collapsed.
The 23-year-old touchline raider joined the champions from Gangwon FC in 2023 and has scored 17 goals in 111 appearances. He hopes to boost those figures when he faces Dunfermline in the Scottish Cup Final at Hampden this afternoon.

TWO OF A KIND…Daizen Maeda and Yang Hyun-jun celebrate Celtic’s fifth successive title after the 3-1 win over Hearts last weekend.
The eight-times capped World Cup-bound forward has won three Premiership titles, a League Cup and a Scottish Cup at the Hoops and is a certainty to start in today’s silverware tussle.
A beaming Yang said: “I love this club and my future is here.
“I’m happy and though the season was a little bit hard, we are champions and, hopefully, next season it will be easier.
“I also want to show better performances in the European games.”
Martin O’Neill, speaking to Celtic TV, continued: “I’m absolutely delighted, because on transfer deadline day he was down at Birmingham City, so I’m pleased that didn’t go through.
“Obviously, I didn’t know him at that time, but there was something about him in training that you felt he’s got a bit of something. He can go past players, he can deal with the ball, all those particular things.
“He maybe just needed a bit of confidence-boosting as much as anything else, but he’s done wonderfully well.”
“He’s super and he’s worked his way back into the South Korean squad.”
