You’re making Whyte look silly

1334

When asked if the £33m he claimed to have lodged for the purchase of Rangers, was “Your own money from your own personal wealth?” in today’s Scotland on Sunday (SoS), Craig Whyte told the newspaper, “Yes, that was done as far back as November 2010.”  Perhaps not the most useful information to put into the public domain during divorce proceedings.

I think every single one of you who referred to Craig Whyte as a billionaire, or the cheeky “MBB” (Motherwell born billionaire) owes him an apology.  While Hero Whyte didn’t deny he was a billionaire he told SoS he doesn’t “talk about [his]personal wealth to anybody” and that those of you who make continual references to his considerably wealth are “making [him]look silly”.

Let’s be clear, this man does not need you to make him look silly.  Please desist and apologise.

  3. That R*ngers team are rotten. MacGregor will keep score-lines respectable, the centre-halves are competent and will be allowed to foul with impunity, and Aluko actually looks like a player since signing for them, but I think that team will drop points in the coming weeks. They have no goals in them and won’t have until Laugherty returns from injury, and even then he’s hardly prolific. They still have some good players in their squad, but one is woefully way off-form (Davis) and the other won’t be fit until the summer (Naismith).

They look like Celtic did in ’91 or ’92, but they have no hope of a bunneted saviour because they have limited commercial potential, no untapped latent fanbase, no history that they can be proud of, and have debts that would shame most EPL clubs.

Fifty thousand people are about to look in a mirror, and they won’t like the ugliness they see there.

  4. Brilliant arabs, poor ally they all cry but where was there cry when our manager got death threats.

Maybe someone should tweet regan and say is that not what the SPL’s about, other teams having a chance and make it more exciting.

  12. Snake Plissken on

I tell you what they really are in bother now.

I’ve seen them play badly and have no team worth speaking of but things will only get worse from here on in.

Whittaker and Lafferty are their only long term injuries and both of them are garbage as well, one cannot defend and the other is just another thug.

Thuggery of their players was let go far too often by Collum – bartley was a filthy animal today.

They’ll get their honest mistakes a plenty which will keep them going but any side with determination close to a level of UNited’s will take further points from them. Their must vaunted centre back pairing looked absolute garbage today. Davis is a slippery player but without help he is ineffective. Aluko is a chancer of a player and Ceilk and Kerkar are the same player and not a very good one and then there’s Healy.

Minus the hate filled perma-rage of Ratboy they are ineffective at best and Celtic must push on now and really twist the knife.

Win at Tynecastle and they’ll really be feeling the heat.

Come on Celtic, kill them off at last.

    btw

That was Rangers last cash gate of the season.

The only other money coming in is the their split of the SPL TV pot, which they won’t see until the season finishes.

£3.5M outgoings per month. That’s £14M to pay out before the season ticket money comes in…

Just as well the Odd Nugget didn’t spend all that Ticketus dough. Clever chap the Odd Nugget.

  17. How will the Scottish Cup continue without Rangers.

There should be an EGM of the SFA called tommorow to put Rangers back in the draw.

We need them for TV and competition. The Scottish Cup has become a farce without Rangers. Come on all you Celtic fans you know it makes sense.

Moves already in place to propagate squad weakness at Ibroke. Remember they only lost Jellylegs on Tuesday – the 15-point handicap appears to be forgotten when it comes to their hopeless manager. That situation had nothing to do with financial problems.

Expect some of the following rubbish in the media this week – “When you look at the inexperience on the bench” and Sleekit “only has the likes of Salim Kerkar and Andrew Little available…” ect, ect,

That is 24-year-old Salim Kerkar and 22-year-old Andrew Little. Celtic have Gary Hooper (24) and Tony Stokes (23).

  19. James Forrest is Lennon on

    Steinreignedsupreme:

This is where their crazy nonsense in the press comes back to bite them. They didn’t sign Sandaza, if you believe the garbage, because he would only have been a squad player. Well I would stipulate he’d have done more in ten minutes than that ludicrous indvidual Healy managed the whole game.

They are all over the place on and off the pitch. Sandaza is having a good game against Hearts right now … and he certainly would have improved that dross which was on offer today.

Their PR is not just stupid, it is suicidal bad.

Super Ally surprised me at the start of the season, I thought the wheels would fall off the hunmobile much sooner.

In retrospect, it’s not a great surprise that the winning team he inherited from Walter would continue their momentum into the current season.

He looked even better in comparison with Celtic’s horror start to the season.

The more time poor Coisty has had to stamp his mark on that team, the worse they get.

At the end of the game today he looked like a fat kid being forced to do P.E. (thumbsup)

  22. Ah, poetic justice. The media’s astonishing bias is really coming back to bite them.

The ill-considered backing of the old board, and then Whyte are obvious examples, but the unwavering backing of the intellectually challenged “Coisty” (copyright MSM 2012) is going to be another.
