You’re making Whyte look silly

1334

When asked if the £33m he claimed to have lodged for the purchase of Rangers, was “Your own money from your own personal wealth?” in today’s Scotland on Sunday (SoS), Craig Whyte told the newspaper, “Yes, that was done as far back as November 2010.”  Perhaps not the most useful information to put into the public domain during divorce proceedings.

I think every single one of you who referred to Craig Whyte as a billionaire, or the cheeky “MBB” (Motherwell born billionaire) owes him an apology.  While Hero Whyte didn’t deny he was a billionaire he told SoS he doesn’t “talk about [his]personal wealth to anybody” and that those of you who make continual references to his considerably wealth are “making [him]look silly”.

Let’s be clear, this man does not need you to make him look silly.  Please desist and apologise.

And so the feel good days continue..

Sunny days and ice cream( though Glasgow obv a wee bit damp today )..

This is only the beginning to steal Neil’s Line.

Payback for their Murray years of denial..

Payback for a grovelling media and banking industry that allowed him ..

    It’s wonderful..

The new geezer Whyte is a chancer and they chose to ignore.. So desperate were they.. I m delighted..

Long may they suffer.. And be punished for their crimes…

    Hail hail

Who in their right mind would deal with them?

Trialists walking out the same day they arrive.

Agents wondering if they and their clients will be paid.

When they were showing the Dundde uts goals at the end of sportscene where they playing the huns singing the cry was no surrender?

    Yep,…I saw that too.

A disgraceful piece of editing by Sports Dept again. Obviously spliced in and was so loud you could barely hear McInnes speak through the replays of the first goal.

lease-back ~ what you think that would cost per season, maybe 3/4 million

ranger’s need to drop £10 million off their wage bill

+ 3/4 million to lease~back stadium maybe £13/14 million off the wage bill

TBH think this would lead to a team no better than hearts

now, do you think 40,000 + would continue to watch them be the 2/3 best team in scotland when they are all losing it after winning three in a row??????

The auld tax dodgers 11 look a poor side very little threat going forward, no width and the defence looked shaky. How the big reptile barkley stayed on the park is anybodys guess. They revert to type kicking players if the look to be going past them, I knew United would give thems a game today, they are a good pass and move team and the orc`s could not cope with their pace and movement.

Lets hope when we go to asbestox next time we redeem ourselve`s from earlier in the season, get the ball down and play Celtic, high tempo with pace and power and we`ll blow the away.

Any one got the stats for the game, did they have a shot on target 2nd half? I`m sure they must have had with the prolific david healy up front.

  9. Wee Chick on the radio at half time slagging Cellick as a player only getting a game because he’s European and that he’s and inferior player to Greg Wylde was one of those smashing moments that puts you in a great mood.

I wonder if 17k of a crowd means a loss on the day given the policing costs and DUFC’s entitlement to half the gate receipts?

I also wonder if Rangers forego any of the TV money in breach of contractual obligation to give interviews?

At least the Cup looks likely to conclude without a team being unable to fulfill its fixture!

    You really must believe us………..

The way Collum instantly reacted when Russell lobbed the ball over McGregor for his booking, was the reaction of a man who personally wanted the game to flow and for rangers to get the ball and mount an attack.

I dont care what his vocation is – that reaction showed where his colours lay.

He would let dozens of them pass by because it was so borderline in games he didnt have an emotive influence in.

I might have this wrong, but do utd not receive half the gate after costs?

Just an after thought, the low attendance must be a disappointment to utd as well.

If the ‘jelly and ice cream’ scenario comes to pass and Rangers are stripped of all previous leagues/cups won by unfair means, would this season be our 12th in a row or 15th in a row as I’m not sure when the EBTs started ? Many of us would then also have to add humple pie to the party menu as Paul 67’s infamous ‘Generation of Domination’ statement would be a reality !

Also if it does happen, congrats to Lennie and the Bhoys for last season’s treble and to Queen of the South, Falkirk, etc for their recent Scottish Cup triumphs !

This is THE most significant result in a long time …. cw was hoping to pay the electricity bills with a run in the Cup …..and even more significant was the attendance at ipox today…..here we have a club in dire need of cash flow to fend of Liquidation, and the fans can’t be bothered even turning up to show their ‘much publicised’ LOYALTY……

That’s one of the many differences between them and us….!!!!

Funny I watched them with the same thought, how they goney play without Jelly etc, the it dawned on me this is the last time we will see Rankers in a Scottish Cup, EVER.

Dundee Utd played well and you can see why Johnny Russel is a player. Dont know who the other team were but they are no very good and quite a dirty mob, especially the goalie who just about finished Dundee Utd new signing, Lacny from ever playing again.

Needless to say Newco manager Billy Dodds commentary was atrocious.

Reckon their crowds would drop to 20K hardcore max – maybe 30K if they were making progress through lower divisions (winning regularly).

Tiketus would be getting a lesser return on their investment (unable to charge top rate for ST’s in lower divisions) – therefore only sensible return for them would be longterm lease (25-50 years). It then has asset value.

Meantime they control how the venue is used (apart from 2/3 times per month). Rip-out a decent section of seats – put in retractable stage and they can use it to hold; concerts, conferences, car-boot sales or whatever and as Auldheid says: a 3/4G pitch and they can rent it out near enough daily for 5’s!

This is how it should be, for years. When these cheating …erm, cheats were lapping up the trophies with their rightful tax money they cared not a jot for Scottish football, much less Celtic and fair play.

Get used to this scenario you stupid Huns. This will last for years and years.

Even if the establishment catapult newhuns into the SPL (and I hope we take this to the wire) they cannot hope to compete. No gate money and no hope. Today’s attendance could be their highest in the cup for years.

And lastly to the Hun dog that bit me this morning, meet me again in the morning same place, when I will be accompanied by a huge Irish Wolfhound.

Craig Whyte profile: The Scots billionaire on the brink of taking over the club he loves

    Nov 18 2010 Keith Jackson

Craig Whyte started playing the stock market at the age of 15. By the time he left school he had more than £20,000 in his bank account.

Today, aged just 39, this financial whizzkid from Motherwell stands on the brink of pulling off the biggest deal of his life – and finally bringing the curtain down on one of the longest-running sagas in Scottish football.

Record Sport understands self-made billionaire Whyte has entered into the final stages of negotiations to buy control of the club he loves from Sir David Murray.
