BRAVE little Celtic hero Jay Beatty has won the Goal of the Month award with an amazing 97% of the votes.
The 11-year-old’s landslide victory was announced by his hero, former Georgios Samaras, in a video message today.
Striker Samaras took time out from training with his current side Al Hilal in Saudi Arabia to deliver a touching personal message.
He said: “Jay my friend, me and you are the same, scoring goals. I’m very happy to announce that you won the Goal of the Month.
“Well done pal, great job. I miss you and I love you. See you, Jay.”
The Hoops supporter’s big moment came during half-time of the recent game at Hamilton.
Jay took a penalty-kick and sent the ball straight into the net.
It was a winner all the way!
