‘YOU’RE FIVE SHORT’ – JUST SIX CELTS IN SCOTLAND’S TEAM OF THE YEAR

0
SIX Celtic players have been included in the Premiership Team of the Year, as voted by their fellow-professionals.
Player of the Year nominees Stuart Armstrong, Moussa Dembele and Scott Sinclair, along with Young Player nominee Kieran Tierney, have been joined by skipper Scott Brown and Mikael Lustig in the starting line-up.
There are four players from Scottish Cup Final opponents Aberdeen – goalkeeper Joe Lewis, Jonny Hayes, Shay Logan and Kenny McLean.
Partick Thistle defender Liam Lindsay is the only player to appear from a team not currently in the top two.
Looking at the team, there are a few questions that spring to mind.
Would the four Dons and one Thistle player get anywhere near the current Celtic side?
Would you take Loe Lewis over Craig Gordon, or have Jonny Hayes ahead of Paddy Roberts?
Indeed is Logan a better right back that Lustig, who is pushed into central defence to accommodate the Dons player in that position?
But the biggest question is, given that the have, according to Pedro, the best squad in Scotland, how come there are no Sevco players in the team?!!
