I didn’t realise until this morning that the assault on Lukasz Zaluska’s assault by two premiership footballers was so serious as to have the player lying unconscious on the ground for several minutes. The Celtic player was out in Glasgow with his wife Sunday night before the incident.
Lukasz was singled-out for online abuse by two Dundee United players in August, one from Poland, one Scottish-born player who has represented Northern Ireland, after the Legia Warsaw Champions League qualifier. The Polish player subsequently took to Twitter to campaign for Legia’s punishment for fielding a suspended player against Celtic to be reduced.
The stories I could tell about various footballers would fill more than a few volumes, but all of the tales I’ve heard about Lukasz are that he is a polite, generous, player who repeatedly puts himself out to help Celtic fans and Poles living here. Very best wishes to the big guy, I hope we see him back soon.

Just checked the fishal site.
Our 3rd keeper is Leo Fasan, age 20.
There is a further keeper noted in the U20 squad, an U17 last season.
Perplexingly, we apparently have only 9 players in the U20s. Maybe someone should leave a note?

I believe the youngsters make up the under 20 squad. Quite happy with that myself. Hopefully some of them make the grade quicker.
Any player at 18 or 19 not playing in the first team should be loaned out to another club.

I was at hospital in Dundee visiting my Mother in law after she has went through a life saving operation,let’s hope and pray,when I picked up the Sun,one of the guys that stayed to help LZ until the Ambulance came was Jim Goodwin from St.Mirren although he was not a witness to the incident,but was in the vicinity when the attack happened.

Drama Queens really getting their pishy knickers in a twist today
A group of so called football players that have been loosely associated with Dundee Utd at one time or another are all coincidentally in Ashton Lane in the early hours of Monday morning along with their wives girlfriends and no doubt other hangers on
Nae fancy swanky restaurants are opened in the early hours of the morning in this leafy west end centre of entertainment
So it’s safe to assume that they were enjoying themselves in the local hostelries
No doubt something has been brought up from the past and words have been exchanged and footballers being footballers have resorted to settling the matter as only they know how and it’s not using eloquent speech and language
Face it if was a group of joiners in the same circumstances would you give a monkeys

I imagine that the SFA have put themselves in an awkward position having cited Lee Griffiths for an out of stadium offence, on the strength of this they would find difficulty explaining any avoidance of pursuing LZ’s attackers, should they be convicted.

The story about tweets is not true. I follow Polish player from DU. The only tweet he made regarding Celtic/Legia was right predicted result in Scotland. There was no campaign against Celtic.

HT no prob hung about but did,nt see you , got the said “missiles” in and out of the ground stewards were fine I thought the local polis were OTT and not very friendly,great day all round and we had a great ferry trip back.
