CONFIRMED: CELTIC TARGET AGREES £3m MOVE

CELTIC target Romaine Sawyers finally ended the transfer guessing game by agreeing a £3million switch from Brentford to West Brom, as CQN forecast yesterday.

The midfielder penned a three-year deal with the Hawthorns outfit today.

The Hoops had a £1.5million bid for the 27-year-old rejected earlier this month and the Midlands side suffered the same fate when they offered £2.2million during the week. The Bees refused to allow their captain to leave for anything under their valuation of £3million.

New Baggies boss Slaven Bilic matched the asking price this morning and the deal was pushed through for the player who had only one season left to go on his contract.

Sawyers told of his delight at the move on social media – insisting he was home.

He said: “Left a boy and returned a man and I can’t wait to get started and do it all again at HOME!

“It’s a dream becoming reality…Thanks for all the welcoming messages, Time to get to the UNFINISHED BUSINESS”.

Former Croatia, Everton and West Ham Gaffer Bilic also beat the eight-in-a-row champions to the punch when he persuaded 19-year-old midfield prospect Rekeem Harper to sign a thre-year deal when it looked as though he could be leaving for Parkhead at the end of his West Brom contract.
