CELTIC kick off the defence of the Scottish Cup against non-league Buckie Thistle at Parkhead this afternoon.

It’s the first time the clubs have ever met, but, of course, the Hoops have faced Highland opposition in the past in the national competition – with one game in particular embedded in the memory banks for all the wrong reasons.

There are happier recollections, of course, and just last June goals from Kyogo Furuhashi, Liel Abada and Filipe Jota propelled Ange Postecoglou’s side to a 3-1 Hampden triumph as the club made world history with an eighth domestic treble.

How much can you remember about past associations with teams from the Highlands? Have a go on CQN’s fun five-minute quiz to test your knowledge.

Good luck!
