I suppose we should start by heading the warning from Sevconian under-performer, Ian Black, who suggested that the Third Division is harder than the SPL. By this logic, Second Division Arbroath will terrify the life out of the Celtic defence ahead of their Scottish Cup tie tomorrow, they did, after all, put three goals past Inverurie Locos in the Third Round tie, and again in the replay.
Only Montrose
Having previously experienced the delights of Brechin, Forfar and the Dundee clubs, after tomorrow, the only Tayside club I will not have seen will be Montrose. These opportunities don’t come around often enough!
In all seriousness, Second and Third Division football is not difficult, it is essentially Keep Fit on the cheap. Celtic must deal with the sincere endeavour of their opponents while giving an opportunity for several fringe players to grace Celtic Park.
With our midfield already stretched by injury and suspension ahead of the Spartak game, Neil Lennon will want to guard this area of the team in particular. Spartak play their last game before heading to Glasgow tonight, at home to Zenit, who sit five points about them after 17 games. This is a huge game for Spartak and interim manager Valery Karpin, who will either succeed as interim, and be made permanent boss, or to fail and to also lose his general manager position.
Unusually for the Champions League, they have five days to recover before facing Celtic, a game Karpin is keen to win. Celtic will technically only have four days rest but the bulk of players likely to play in midweek will surely be rested tomorrow.
Spartak will be without striker Welliton, who travelled to Germany for an operation this week. Emmanuel Emenike, who scored twice against Celtic last month, is likely to lead the line. Emenike is a penalty box striker who is more than capable of exploiting gaps in the Celtic box. Karpin may instead opt to play target-man Artyom Dzuba as a sole striker. Dzuba is not a prodigious goal-scorer but he is able to hold play up and bring others into the game.
I loved media suggestions today that Sports Direct have a fight on their hands from other firms if they want their brand used to rename Ibrox. You have to admire the intellectual endeavour that goes into news coverage in this country. Sports Direct area THE key business partner for The Rangers. The only issue open to question is how much skin they are in the game for and what they get in return. Remember this when you’re buying sports kit for Christmas!
Lower league clubs will all surely be quaking in their boots at the news The Rangers will not only bring in well over £20m in a share issue, but could also earn countless riches from stadium naming rights. The leaked IPO PowerPoint presentation suggested the Offer for Subscription would commence on Monday. I am sure it is on-plan.

I’ve yet to hear any sports show call them anything but RFC!
When the new club was formed, the SFL had them on their website as TRFC, but that has now changed to RFC. And it still attatches the dead club’s history to them.
I’ve sent them numerous emails asking for clarification but still haven’t had a reply.

You shouldnt have asked….
Went there last Wednesday with my mates, still on a high from it, posted on CQN from the balcony Billy McNeil lifted the trophy from. An amazing day out Im still trying to recover from.
Went years ago one summer and went to the wrong goals, the goals to the right as you go in, the goals are always to the right… Got home watched the dvd again and I was at wrong end… Joined a couple of Timternet forums the next few weeks with that blunder still on my mind…
Was majic to be there and with my mates on the turf and it was reasonably quiet as well on the Wednesday after the game, sat in The famous penalty box and poured myself a couple of glasses of vino tinto and got photos all over the place. People were in tears wandering about the place.
We then got talking to the other Celtic fans who were about and had a football and next thing we knew we had organised a 11 a side game on the pitch, well 8 Blantyre folk v 11 rest of the world Celtic supporters with the Blantyre team still carrying drinks while we were playing, seems even enough to me…. Balntyre and district team up against the odds? Again?
We were unfortunate to get beat 1-3, I will for ever be haunted by the thought that if only I had put my drink down before running down the wing things could have been so much different, still hink it was a penalty when I landed on my erchie on the Inter/rest of the world box, wine intact.
Despite the 1-3 scoreline it went to penalties and Im sure Blantyre won it but nobody knows, I missed mine, need to go back there for a third time.
After two games there we were the first Blantyre and district team to be defeated, all 8 of us hang our heads in shame.

This Scottish government want to give us an independent country… fair enough don’t care.
This Scottish government want to even up the numbers and call us bigots like them… well out of order.
And now they want to increase the price we pay for our Australian, Chilean, Spanish, French, Italian, Greek, Cypriot, Argentinian wine?
So that they can increase they’re revenue and carry on with the evening up policy..?.
Greece, Italy and Spain are struggling big time now and I am sure Bulgaria are as well as are Croatia and other countries. Do you think the government here and in England and Wales will reduce the tax because they want to avoid binge drinking on a nice Chardonnay.
I have never voted and I am 42 years old and I never will vote for the simple reason there is probably about 3 or 4 people who I would ever have voted for and I never got the chance.
I have obviously had to much wine already tonight and thinking of making my own started this as a light hearted read and somehow lost the point.
What I mean to say is I know someone in the centre of Madrid who now walks past people who they knew that were normal ordinary people and they are now queuing round the block for a bowl of soup instead of going to work. They avoid each others eyes.
How long before we are all in the Queue and not for a nice Rioja?

1.What is unique about Alexandra Parade ?
It’s the only street named Alexandra Parade.
2. What makes it different from every other main artery in our city ?
None of the others are named Alexandra Parade.
And I didn’t even have to use Google!
You’re kidding yourself if anyone but us thinks new huns aren’t old huns. On here we’ll have our fun but in reality Scotland and the world sees 3rd division huns and SPL huns as the same thing.
Reminds me of ole HT
Ernie,
That was worse than the Ru’glen answer.
SPF,
good point, and yer right, I never listen to them :o)
When, or should I say if, The Rangers International FC ever play in Europe, the UEFA website will treat them for what they are, a new club playing their first ever European game.
Then the MSM and the SFA will have no place to hide their lies.
They are a new entity, we know it, they know it, they simply don’t want to admit it, even to themselves.

Uefa don’t seem to ..check their website
Man City spent £10.5 mill just on agent fees last year, QPR a modest £6.8mill :O)
Agent fees, not player fees. I hope we screw them big style when we sell.

Looking at two deals, both Tmob.
1. 16mb phone, unlimited data, £94 for the phone then £36 per month.
2. 32mb phone 1.5 GB data, phone free, then £29 per month (Tmob employee family and friends)
2 looks a no brainer

I suggest you visit the other SPL clubs fan websites. The only people who think they are the same club are Sevconian supporters
Everyone else see them for what they are
A new club with no history

No supporters bus again tomorrow so travelling in the car, as the nominated driver.

Yip. I know that, and you and others on here know about the registrations.
That won’t halt their 140years ‘celebrations’.
The silence from Hampden is deafening regarding this debate.
They know what is being said on either side of the divide, and they know they can end all the arguements.
Until they do, make no mistake, this is RFC and their history is intact!

Of course, if it had been any Celtic supporting Ruglonian ‘faced’ with the same ball, we’d have Victor Wanyama’ed back onto the pitch.
What do the fans matter really, I hate to name check Kev Jungle but as long as they play at the pit and in that strip with that badge then they are the same club.
Sure on here we’ll kid ourselves but in the real world out there not one person i’ve spoken to thinks the huns are dead.
the_huddle 20:19
Im my work here Ive met English, Welsh, Egyptian, Palesteinian, Greek american and a Canadian and more who have said to me ‘whats it like now rangers died?’ All had a smile at the situation.
People who know their football even at a reasonably basic level know they died.

If the player registrations didn’t transfer, then how come Elbows and others are with the new club?
Questions to Orcs :
Did you have shares in the CLUB prior to liquidation and what are they worth now?
Who has the title deeds for Ipox, Murray Park and the car park?

Don’t talk to many Celtic supporters then, or Aberdeen, Hibs………
In the real world they killed their own club trying to catch up to our achievements, they couldn’t do it, then they cheated just to be able to compete with us, then they cheated some more just to stop them going bust, none of it worked, they went bust, liquidated, Blue Norwegian and all that.
In their fantasy world they have continued, it is fantasy.

ScotPatsFan,
I don’t think there’s any doubt where the football authorities stand on the Rangers/The Rangers same club question.
The SFL website credits The Rangers with 54 league titles.
The SFA want the whole question to just die away without them having to make any pronouncement on it.
