‘WE CAN SPOIL CELTS’ PARTY,’ EX-IBROX STAR

DOMINIC BALL agrees with boss Derek McInnes and insists Aberdeen can wreck Celtic’s title party on Sunday.

The Pittodrie gaffer admitted his side could get something from Parkhead in the last league game of the campaign, as CQN reported yesterday.

Now on-loan Rotherham defender Ball reckons the Dons can take the shine off the Hoops’ silverware display as Brendan Rodgers’ men prepare to celebrate their seventh successive championship.

Ball, who had a spell at Ibrox two years ago, is convinced McInnes’ men will finish the term as best of the rest for the fourth consecutive year.

He said: “Celtic will be tough, but they have been beaten this season.

“Hearts beat them and we have to show the attitude they showed and to try to get the three points.

“The last four games have been Cup Finals for us. We have had to go and get points in every single game.

“Sunday is the biggest one, really. The gaffer and a lot of the boys who have been here for the last couple of seasons have said this has been their toughest test.

“If we can get second this year it would be amazing.

”Are Aberdeen second best? Yes!

“If we can play to the level we did in the first-half of Tuesday’s 1-1 draw with Rangers over 90 minutes at Celtic, I feel we will have a very good chance.”
