Can you believe these Duff and Phelps people? They can’t afford to pay Rangers taxes, or other SPL clubs monies due, but today they tried to increase their payroll today by asking the SPL to register Daniel Cousin. Can you imagine what the out-of-pocket creditors feel about this?
These people are in place to make sure the company trades long enough to repay creditors. They can trade perfectly well with the three dozen or so players they have, what kind of justification could they possibly give to the court for playing Football Manager with other people’s money? No wonder HM Revenue and Customs fought their appointment.
What an absolute shower. It’s almost as though that place is some kind of lightning rod for a special type of competency. It’s not your money you’re spending, pay the club’s bills and stop looking for football bling, that’s what got the last lot into trouble in the first place!

Did I not read yesterday that his contract sent to the spl showed that the administrators signed him on the 17 th.
Perhaps the alcohol is taking it’s toll on my brain.
Morning bhoys (this good mood of mine is reaching record levels!)
They seek him here,
they seek him there,
those hunnnies seek him everywhere.
Is he in heaven (fat chance)?
Is he in hell?
That damned elusive crook from Motherwell.

The Honest Mistake
If that is the case then it is in fact my honest mistake. Didn’t get on here much yesterday due to having to work (can you believe that) and having to go out last night. I’m really just catching up with the story.
If that is the case then surely that is a little more ROPE for HMRC to knot.

A wee duet from Jonny Mathis and Denice Williams for the closing down party at Ibrox
[Johnny:]
Yes, it’s over, call it a day
Sorry that it had to end this way
No reason to pretend
We knew it had to end some day, this way
[Deniece:]
Guess it’s over, the kids are gone
What’s the use of tryin’ to hang on
Somewhere we lost the key
So little left for you and me and it’s clear to see
[Both:]
Too much, too little, too late to lie again with you
Too much, too little, too late to try again with you
We’re in the middle of ending something that we knew
[Johnny:] It’s over
[Deniece:] Oh, it was over
[Both:]
Too much, too little, too late to ever try again
Too much, too little, too late, let’s end it being friends
Too much, too little, too late, we knew it had to end
[Deniece:] Ah, it’s over
[Johnny:] It’s over
[Deniece:]
Guess it’s over, the chips are down (whoa)
Nearly all our bridges tumbled down
[Johnny:]
Whatever chance we try, let’s face it why deny
It’s over (It’s over)
It’s over
[Both:]
Too much, too little, too late to ever try again
Too much, too little, too late, let’s end it being friends
Too much, too little, too late, we knew it had to end
[Johnny:] And it’s over
[Deniece:] And it’s over
[Johnny:] And it’s over
[Both:]
Too much, too little, too late to ever try again
Too much, too little, too late, let’s end it being friends

Why don’t we go home
Why don’t we go ho-o-ome

Why don’t we go home.

sparkleghirl said:
yeah but …. that means Ticketus handed over the money for Rangers assets to someone who was not yet anything to do with RFC. How could he sell these rights UNLESS the then owners/directors approved it’
Exactly the big question I was asking.
I suspect Ticketus colluded with CW for the sake of a promised big return on investment.
Yesterday, or the day before, the administrators, during a press conference, said they did not know where the 24m went. They said they “understood” it went into one of CW’s other companies, but that they were “seeking clarification” from the club’s previous lawyers.
All this AFTER they had interviewd CW the day after administration, as is their duty.
Presumably they ASKED him where the money went and what happened to it.
For them to say, after interviewing the club owner, that they still do not know what happened to the money, simply beggars belief.
My guess is that the answer CW gave seriously implicated him in a criminal act, so they are doing their best to ‘protect’ him.
I still cannot understand why nobody at the administrator’s press conference asked the question – “You say you do not yet understand where the 24m is. Did you ask CW and what was his answer?”
Unbelievable.
No wonder HMRC want this mob of Cockney Spivs kicked into touch.
We haven’t heard the last of this.

The good news is my brain still works, another couple of days of boozing on the cards:
The SPL statement reads: “The SPL was at 3.26pm today presented with a contract between Daniel Cousin (“the Player”) and Rangers FC dated 17 February 2012, signed by the Player and by Paul Clark, the Joint Administrator of The Rangers Football Club plc (in Administration).
“In terms of SPL Rule A6.20, the consent of the Board of the SPL was required for the Registration of the Player with the SPL. The Board of the SPL declined to give that consent.
“Accordingly the Player is not Registered with the SPL and is not eligible to Play in SPL Matches. Rangers FC have the right to appeal this decision to the Judicial Panel of the Scottish FA.
Whyte’s statement is carefully worded. The ticketus money never reached Rangers. Where is it Whyte? You can’t hide forever.
THM
That is Hunbelievable. Absolutely Hunbelievable.
Thanks for that.

Craig Whyte – The Gift that keeps Giving.
Tom mcl and sparkleghirl.
The octopus statement yesterday contained a snippet about rangers having the same facility in a number of previous seasons. It’s difficult to imagine that octopus got into this arrangement with whyte without the rangers chairman at the time signing it off (as he had done in previous seasons). I described this yesterday as the headshot to the old board. Watch this space.

SFA sticking to the rules, in the face of the blatant arrogance of RFC.
So far so good.

It was the spl. If it was a cup game I don’t doubt he’d be playing. There is a reason why they are having a full independent inquiry.

Well maybe he is daft.

Weather forecast for Ibrox – wintry showers with arctic blasting winds. For Easter Road tomorrow, sunny with a light breeze, rather warm for the time of year.

Mornin CQNrs
A happy Saturday mornin to you, has Salmond resigned or that wee cheeky FB that manages RFC PLC (in administration), I see that they are claiming a full house for to-day, if its true then I am glad that they have all got together to enjoy some of the last games to be played there.
At Ibrox they are queuing up to get into the ground and the car park is full, however the SFA, HMRC, Administrators, Police, Crown Office and Insolvency service cant agree who should get the last parking place however they agree to be above board and pay to get in. Sure, they are not sure who to give the entrance money to, is it Ticketus ?
RFC (in administration) 2 Kilmarnock bunnets 3
Highly unlikey given that Brines is the referee and well known Paul McDonald ( I’ve never heard of him ) is the powerful fourth official.
So that means those in administration get two pens !!
What a week, truly well done Paul 67, I think you must be taking what Popeye takes, spinach, and if you dont I’ll send you some !

Ah yes, I remember that comment. At the time I didn’t take it to mean they’d been involved in this current deal.
But even if the old board authorised it, how the devil did it end up in a different account of Whyte’s?
I’m going to stop fretting about all this and just enjoy it :)
Clear skies followed by driving sleet then clear skies once again, here in North Ayrshire this morning.
Mwd.
Aj’s excuse will be that he knew nothing of that contract. I’m sure he’s already stated as much publicly. The reason why he’s so desperate to go down this road is that wrongful trading gets him struck off and personally liable. Fraudulent trading gets you same but an added bonus of up to ten years in the clink. Just now he’s trying to pin it all on whyte but surely he’ll be more scattergun when more details are revealed.
Remember what Bain said about ringfencing funds to deal with penalties for trading whilst insolvent.
Morning all from a very sunny La Suisse.
Posted last night but well worth posting again. This piece is also a tribute to you, Paul, and a damning indictment of the Media.

So not enough snow in Glasgow to prevent the last stand from going ahead?
Have been getting all nostalgic thinking about our own tumultuous revolution. Snow saved us then, remember? The day after David Smith’s Gefinor announcement, timed to try scupper the boycott, the game was off for snow. By the time it was played midweek we’d had time to digest discuss and decide to fight on.
Good morning friends from East Kilbride where we have grey skies and regular hailstones. Hope that keeps up over Govan this afternoon!

So I have missed about 24 hours worth of this soap opera. Just read Neil Lennon put on his biggest performance for us. Well done Neil.
To summarise what I think I know to date then.
Rangers spend lots of cash they could not afford and ended up in a lot of debt with the bank.
HMRC say that Rangers used an trust scheme to pay their employees resulting in millions of pounds of unpaid tax
The bank didn’t want to take on the liability this additional HMRC money if the current ongoing case went against Rangers.
Evidence apparently exists of side contracts stating that the loans as part of this loophole need not be paid back. This would indicate that Rangers are guilty.
As the bank didn’t want to take on this debt they forced a sale of the club to a group of folks willing to pay the debt off.
Craig White enters the room with his entourage
White apparently contacted ticketus and asked for money up front for season tickets. This money was paid to White and his compadres Lawyers in the event of a sale.
Sale was agreed and the money was released. We think it was paid from his lawyers to the bank.
Rangers then went through a serious of embarassing court cases, having money aressted… they had trading of stock de listed, directors resigned or were forced out, no accounts produced no agm.
Rangers exit every cup competition and lose a 15 point lead and turn it into a 4 point deficit
Rangers sell their best striker
Rangers apply to go into admin
Rangers forced to appoint admin by HMRC in dramatic circumstances and lose 10 points
Rangers appoint admin with a link to The takeover
Rangers tax adviser is also an adult movie person
Admin make no perceivable cuts to anything and try to sign a player
Have I missed anything?
falkirkbhoy –
Good luck and be sure to post your time later.

Oh and the tax adviser to Craig Whyte is the same tax adviser on the EBTs.

The last week has been the best ever on cqn the number
Of post must be in there thousands.
And have read every one (5 hrs a day)and knakered but lovin it
Is this the record week paul67 ?
My main point today is
1.Administration achieved
2.liquidation or newco ?
Take it one step at a time ,
Liquidation is a must before we start the newco argument
Or we lose focus and the argument will be lost in all the msm spin
hope most agree on this ?

There is an e-petition on Celtic fanzone requesting that the government ensure that rfc (IN ADMINISTRATION) pay all the taxes etc that they are due and do not get a any further unfair advantage in Scottish Football by side stepping their actions.
I would urge all fans to sign this and to tell all other fair minded people they know to do so as well.
You can go into newsnow celtic and you will see the request to sign it.
Get signing because the orc’s will be signing out pleading to be let off for their decade or cheating and tax evasion.

Hope remains for struggling Airdrie
“Business as usual” at Airdrie’s ground
Provisional liquidators called in to Scottish First Division strugglers Airdrie have expressed hope that the club can be saved.
They have voiced confidence that a backroom shake-up would allow new investment to come into the club.
The Diamonds have called an extraordinary general meeting to discuss a change of constitution which could ensure its survival.
Up until now, no Airdrie shareholder has been allowed to own more than 10% of the shares – a matter which has been scheduled for discussion at Monday’s meeting.
Liquidator Blair Nimmo:
Blair Nimmo, head of KPMG Corporate Recovery in Scotland, has been appointed as the club’s provisional liquidator and expressed optimism for the future.
He said: “While the liquidation is a serious matter for the club, I would like to stress our focus will be on creating a firm foundation for the future development of Airdrie FC.
“The club has first class facilities and is an important institution within Scottish football – it just needs new investment.
“Hopefully a new constitution will be the catalyst which enables the introduction of new investors with the funds, and the ideas, to take the club forward.”
‘Business as usual’
In the meantime, Mr Nimmo said it would be “business as usual” at the Lanarkshire club, currently lying at second bottom in the First Division.
Airdrie’s problems worsened when it was revealed that Rangers had arrested the club’s share of the gate receipts for Sunday’s Scottish Cup tie at Dundee United.
Airdrie’s finances have been tackled by David Murray
Ibrox chairman David Murray applied for an interdict, on behalf of his company Carnegie, for a debt of around £30,000 owed by Airdrie.
Mr Murray said: “I feel very sorry for Airdrie and their supporters but we’re running a business. We have given them repeated warnings and felt they were playing on our good nature.”
The Scottish Football Association described the move as “a private matter between the clubs” and made clear there had been no contact with either party.
Airdrie were at the centre of recent takeover speculation amid reports that Motherwell chairman John Boyle wanted to acquire the Diamonds and create a bigger Lanarkshire club.
