FORMER Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou was furious as he reacted to a Harry Kane stunt from a reporter.
The Greek-Australian, who quit the treble winners after two years for Spurs last month, blew his top at a press conference before the friendly against Leicester City due in Bangkok which was subsequently washed out.
Postecoglou has walked into an ongoing transfer saga with the England international striker who has refused to sign an extension at the North London club with his present contract due to expire in a year’s time.
GETTING SHIRTY…German reporter with the offending Bayern Munich top displaying the name Kane.
Bayern Munich have been linked with the club skipper in recent months and have already had two bids rejected. They are now putting together a third offer.
One German reporter added to awkward stand-off between Spurs and their record goalscorer and produced a shirt of the Bundesliga giants with ‘Harry Kane 9’ emblazoned across the back.
He said to the former Hoops gaffer: “What does that look like? It looks quite good, no?”
Postecoglou reacted angrily, saying: “I don’t know what you’re talking about. Did you get a good laugh? Very good. You came a long way for that.”
Spurs have now banned the reporter from future press conferences.
The Kane situation appears to be having a negative effect on Postecoglou who admitted he is “not relaxed” about the situation.
It has been a difficult few days for Big Ange with Roma pulling out of a pre-season friendly before the Leicester game was cancelled due to a waterlogged pitch.
Kane’s wife Katie Goodland is also said to have spent the last few days in Munich looking for a new house, according to a report in The Sun.
The German club are confident the English ace wants to join them, with their director Uli Hoeness publicly confirming that belief.
