C’mon Celtic this crowd are there for the taking. Matthews final ball a big let down needs to do better. We can get joy down that right wing, would have suited Forrest.

Excellent first half from Celtic. I was going into the game hoping for a draw, but having seen that, this game is there for the winning.
Celtic have dominated and Milan look lacklustre to say the least.
Matthews needs to be more positive from good positions on the right.
All in all, delighted with the performance so far.
Jeez….we’ll take that so far. We can hurt these people especially with PACE.
Got Bhoys on the bench who can do that but a great result so far. We do not look out of place at the big table.

Ye cannae beat a nerve tingling away tie to one of Europe’s elite clubs in the Champions League.
Italian commentator (Sky Italia) says that Celtic have had been the better team in the second half of the first half.
The team is playing very well,keep it tight,if Stokes can up his game then there is no reason we cannot win this game.
We may see Derk coming on so i hope he tracks back,Matthews has done a lot of running so might be the one to go.

If we score first this team will crumble, too many average players for a Milan team…
Pace is the key against this defence…

There’s no question this team are there for the taking. Great first half performance. Brown has been immense in midfield as has Charlie. We have found ourselves in a few great positions going forward but unfortunately, most have come with Mathews in possession down the right and his final ball has been poor. Hard to expect anything else from a player playing out of position. Defensively we have looked solid. We have restricted them to a few shots from outside the box – something we will need to watch second half as the ball breaks out from our box.
Commons, Sammi, Stokes all finding it hard to find space. Stokes working hard but a difficult shift for him up there on his own. He manufactured a great opportunity, leaving his marker for dead, but instead of trying to find Commons he tried to shoot from too tight an angle and the chance was lost. Neil was not happy.
Our best chance was the FK given 8yds out but as usually happens in these situations, the mass of bodies was enough to keep the ball out. A bit more creativity might have provided a clearer opportunity at goal.
All in all, possibly our most disciplined away performance in Europe so far. Let’s keep it very tight at the start of the second half.
AC milan look nothing special here. More of the same from Celtic with a few shots when we,re round about their box and we could take the prize.

Fanni was wide open for much of that first half. Arsene needs to keep his eye on that.
Oh and Davie Provan. I can’t believe he is the way he is after everything Celtic Football Club/Support did for him. Very Sad. Always negative about Celtic, which is ok if that is yer bag, but never giving praise when it is thoroughly merited is an indicator of something not so good.

If our ball into the box had been better we could have taken a lead into HT.

thomthethim, how about putting Sammi up top? He can play with his back to goal, and he can protect the ball well, allowing Stokes to advance from a slightly deeper position, and likewise Commons, perhaps giving us a few more shooting chances.
Also, we could do with more threat on the left flank… Derk time?
I was a little annoyed about the commentator’s observation that Commons could have done with that late opportunity opening up on his left foot so he could have had a pop at goal. For Ghod’s sake, he is a professional footballer. Even I’d have had a pop from such an opening with my weaker foot!
Nervy start and nervy finish to half. Apart from that we are playing very well, obviously we don’t have the quality of Mata or Ballotelli and these 2 will be a danger for the full 90. We are right to take the game to them, if we drop back and give them the ball, we won’t hold out against those 2. So so proud of the Bhoys.
Adam Mathews pulled up half way through that half, watch 40mins, he is talking to bench about staying on.

Watching the game in an Irish pub in Bilbao, the locals don’t seem to have much interest, the only other people watching are three young Scottish girls that live here.
Not that I am complaining. :-)
Adam is getting the positions just not delivering. It’ll come second half for him.
This is a great Celtic away performance…we need to be careful not to take anything for granted, Milan are dangerous….but we are capable of at least a draw here, on this performance….
