CELTIC will recharge their batteries in Portugal in winter before they “get ready to go again” in their quest for silverware.

The champions will face THIRTEEN gruelling games in the Premiership, Champions League and Premier Sports League Cup before they head to Australia for their two-match participation in the Sydney Super Cup against the host team on November 17 and Everton three days later.

The domestic season than takes a break while the World Cup Finals are underway in Qatar from November 21 to December 18.

The Hoops resume their defence of the title against Aberdeen at Pittodrie on December 17.

Ange Postecoglou has revealed on Australian radio station SEN that he will be watching some of the soccer showpiece in the Middle East before jetting to Portugal with his players for warm-weather training.

Speaking of taking in some of the World Cup action, the Parkhead gaffer said: “I’m going to come down to Melbourne and just catch up with people and watch the games on the telly.

 “And then we head back and go straight into camp in Portugal and get ready for the second half of the year.

“With the World Cup being smack bang in the middle, it means the programme either side of it is super congested.

“Not just for us, for all football clubs. So, we’re going to get ready to go again.”
