    Midfield of Mathews, Kayal and Johansen is not nearly good enough. Broonie needed.

    Only Pukki looks semi capable amongst the fringe players, and Matthews looks lost when played too far forward, and out of position so far.

     

     

    Sleepy defending leaves the cup finalists comfortable, and very dangerous on the break.

    My thoughts on our players, on this end of season line-up:

     

     

    Zaluska – stick (back up to FF, great save from penalty)

     

    Lustig – stick

     

    Ambrose – stick

     

    Van Dijk – stick

     

    Matthews – stick

     

    Kayal – twist

     

    Mulgrew – stick

     

    Johansen – stick

     

    Boerrigter – twist

     

    Balde – jury still out (but could be a twist)

     

    Pukki – jury still out (but could be a stick)

     

     

    Stevie May better than anything we’ve got this evening (despite penalty miss).

    Take a well oiled machine, strip it apart and replace with some substandard parts and it does not run so smoothly.

     

     

    Actually it looks at times as if some of them have been invited to play from the crowd. Boeriggter and Balde are not Celtic class and I hope we can get some of our money back from them.

     

     

    Pukki started brightly but has been struck by the same malaise as the rest of the midfield. Totally disjointed and NFL will probably tear them a new one at HT. Second half subs certain early.

    Gotta say, the gulf in quality between this game and the sheep game is stark.

     

    Kayal? Poor so far.

     

    Pukki? Has ability but always seem that bitbtoo relaxed in his touche and loses the ball as a result.

     

    Amido? Not really in the game so far.

     

    Boerighter? A total watse of money for me.

     

     

    Poor defending for the goal but well done Zaluska forvth penalty save.

     

     

    Saints want it more and shoud be further ahead.

     

     

    Hoping for more urgency, control and quality 2nd half…

    Our forward line ….Pukki, Boeriggter and Balde …not a CFC player among them .., to think of the money we spent …£1m on 3 SPL players would be better than these pretenders ..

    Can’t remember too many experiments with fringe players that have been successful for Neil. Bring back big Tony.

    Well my bets of SJ 1 up and Celtic or draw full time, both at 18-1 looking good so far. Celtic however have to up the game. For me Balde is just not in the game and when he has the ball he loses it! One shot on target by Puke is not good enough. Changes needed for second half. Come on Celtic.

    This is a shambles….should be 3 or 4 down. No midfield.

     

    Must bring on Brown and Commons.

     

    Some guys out there have done Hee haw – Bo Derek, Matthews, Johannsen, Kayal..all in midfield. Balde’s first touch like my drives at the golf.

     

    Manager, please….subs…avoid a red neck.

    Not sure bud. He’s in the stayers hurdle having missed Aintree after a slight problem. He’s absolutely bouncing round the yard and galloping like a good thing. Only caveat…if it rains, be cautious. In fact too much rain they’ll pull him out. GL

    I hear what you’re saying but all week it’s been about 100 goals and 100 points from NFL – and we get this? We could be 0-5 here.

     

     

    This reminds me of the day we went up to ICT after winning 2-0 at Anfield in 2003. MON rung the changes and we lost 1-0.

    Total nonsense and unfair (to the fans and individual players) to bring in so many changes.

     

     

    1 or 2 at most into an established team is fine. If they don’t perform then you can point fingers.

     

     

    Having said that, and not based on tonight:

     

    Balde – not good enough

     

    Pukki – not good enough

     

    Boerrigter – not good enough

     

     

    Time to cut the losses and give others a chance.
