    I suppose we have to give the squad players games and also give them some slack when they are thrust into the team. It does take extraordinary patience as a watcher though. From a positive perspective, it does make our first choice 11 seem like worldbeaters :)

     

     

    Of the fringe squad I would say Pukki has looked most impressive. He has picked up a fair turn of pace but is struggling to get anything going with Balde and Derk. I am sure Neil will persevere for another 20 mins or so before making any changes. Let’s hope the Bhoys up their game.

     

     

    Well done Zaluska on the penalty save. Our central defensive partnership have dropped their high standards since we went out of the Cup to Aberdeen. Regardless of what the players say, there is really nothing to get motivated for right now. Roll on the new season.

    Great fun I suppose, but thought that EPL was best league in the world :o)

    Why on earth he would do that is beyond me. What does that do for player confidence. Hopefully this is due to knocks Derk and Adam picked up.

    My point was about slagging off players during a game vs supporting whoever wears the hoops.

    CEO wittered on to no good effect causing me to arrive at the airport in time to see the plane doors shut despite me manically wishing the traffic ooooot the way!!!!

     

     

    So I have to trek over London for a different airport. I pay more money. I miss the game. I miss my link train home by 2 mins so have to sit and wait another hour.

     

     

    I tune in. I hear we’re playing mince. That our B team is so far off the pace that ‘fringe’ is an aspiration they can only dream about.

    Lennon trying something different, proberly to have a look at the fringe players with next season in mind. Now knows there not very good kayal, Borrigter and Balde so can punt them and a few others and free up space and wages on decent players. Result tonight is not important, getting things in place for next season is.

    Gary Hooper returns to Paradise with Boerrigter, Baldé and Kayal going the other way. That should cover the fee and the wages.

     

     

    I’m quite disappointed about Kayal, as I like the guy as a player. He certainly has the energy, commitment and desire to succeed at Celtic, and he always tries hard. But he just doesn’t seem able to impose himself in a calm, confident, productive way.

     

     

    I just can’t see how he can be anything other than an occasional back-up squad player when we have Commons, Brown, Forrest, Johansen, Biton, Mulgrew and Matthews all capable in midfield, and a few development players with potential to boot. While Kayal has some positive attributes, he isn’t even in the same library as Commons and Brown, never mind the same page!
