THE GLORY AND THE DREAM, KENNY OF THE CELTIC

ESTEEMED Celtic authors Tom Campbell and Pat Woods were re-united last night at Celtic Park at the launch of Stephen Murray’s new book Kenny of the Celtic, which is published by CQN.

Tom is now retired and has been living in Canada but is back in Scotland at the moment visiting family.

Tom Campbell and Pat Woods teamed up in the 1986 to write the definitive Celtic book, The Glory and the Dream. This is a book that is the benchmark for all other Celtic authors.

Tom was one of numerous Celtic authors attending last night’s event at the Jock Stein lounge with the likes of Paul Dykes, Ian McCallum, Matt McGlone and of course Stephen Murray.

Kenny of the Celtic is Stephen Murray’s second Celtic book, having had great success in 2014 with his 10 Men Won the League debut.

Kenny of the Celtic is a comprehensive account of Dalglish’s nine seasons as a Celtic player. Plenty has been written about Dalglish’s career at Anfield but that is not featured in this book.

Dalglish was a world class football player for Celtic and the supporters accounts of his playing days deserves to be read and will be enjoyed.

We’re back in the Jock Stein lounge on Thursday 1 December for the official party for Hoops, Stars and Stripes – the Andy Lynch Story which is written by Paul Dykes.

Paul has been busy securing plenty of Celtic stars from the 70s and 80s to attend the event and one player that we’re particularly excited to meet and chat to is Paul Wilson.

If you would like an invite for the event please email david@cqnpublishing.co.uk for a place on the CQN guest list. This is a free event and is by invitation only.

Both Kenny of the Celtic and Hoops Stars and Stripes are priced at just £14.99 and available now from Celtic stores and direct from CQN Bookstore HERE.
