CELTIC are eyeing up a summer swoop for West Brom’s 19-year-old midfielder Rekeem Harper.

Neil Lennon watched the youngster make a late substitute appearance in the Championship semi-final defeat against Aston Villa last week.

And, according to the Daily Mail, Harper and his representatives were at Parkhead on Sunday to watch the eight-in-a-row champions beat Hearts 2-1 and they also took in the presentation of the silverware after a VIP tour of the club.

The former England Under-19 international was tracked by the Hoops former Head of Recruitment Lee Congerton before his departure for Leicester City earlier this month.

Harper is out of contract at the end of the campaign and has rejected an extension with the Hawthorns outfit who confirmed on their official website they have made a second and final offer.

Champions League Finalists Spurs and newly-promoted Norwich City are also interested in the highly-rated teenager.

The Hoops will discuss the managerial situation with Lennon following Saturday’s Scottish Cup Final against Hearts at Hampden, but, despite speculation over Brendan Rodgers’ full-time successor, plans to bring in new players are well underway in what is certain to be a summer of transfer upheaval at Parkhead.

Derby County’s on-loan Chelsea centre-back Fikayo Tomori and Bournemouth’s French striker Lys Mousset have bother been targeted by the champions as the club embark on a crucial squad rebuild ahead of Champions League qualifiers in July.
