CELTIC played St Mirren three times at Parkhead last season and thumped 11 goals into their net.
This time around, they have had to be content with two after their 2-1 win over the Paisley club in November.
Brendan Rodgers’ side had to respond from going a goal behind to come back and claim three points.
Daizen Maeda scored the champions’ first goal of 2024 when he netted in the early minutes of the 3-0 triumph in Paisley on January 2 as the visitors eased to victory.
The Japanese international was also on target when the holders won 2-0 in the Scottish Cup at the same venue the following month.
