CELTIC will play Wolves at the Aviva Stadium on Saturday July 29 with a 2pm kick-off.

The clubs were due to face each other in South Korea a fortnight today, but the match was scrapped with both sides withdrawing due to “financial and logistical” issues with organisers.

Brendan Rodgers’ men are scheduled to take on Yokohama F Marinos in Japan a week today and Gamba Osaka three days later.

Spanish cracks Athletic Bilbao are also lined up to play the Hoops in the James Forrest Testimonial Match at Parkhead on Tuesday August 1.

Official details of the game against the Molineux outfit are likely to be announced later today. Rodgers was involved in a game at the Aviva during his first stint at the Hoops when the Parkhead side took on Barcelona on July 30 2016. Lionel Messi and Co won 3-1 with Leigh Griffiths claiming Celtic’s consolation goal.

The champions are currently in pre-season training in Portugal and have two closed-door encounters lined up against Primeira Liga side Portimonense tomorrow night and Saturday afternoon.

The real action starts with the Premiership opener against Ross County on Flag Day in the east end of Glasgow on Saturday August 5 with a 12.30pm commencement.
