Commons and football intelligence

1244

Kris Commons return to the Celtic team on Sunday was enormously welcome, even if it didn’t produce his first goal of the season.  Kris has had a wretched season after arriving with a bang from Derby County in January last year.

He is not the most athletic or skilful player in the team but he has an abundance of football intelligence, well in excess of his contemporaries.  The cross-field pass for the second goal against St Johnstone was a perfect example.  Celtic players were rushing forward on a break, while defenders were flooding back.  To the annoyance of many sitting around me, Kris slowed things down, surveyed the field and switched play to Ki on the opposite wing.

This has been a great and memorable season for Celtic but there remains plenty to do.  An hour or so watching Kris Commons is enough to demonstrate the way forward.

I assume the money they owe us is for damage to the stadium ? So we either don’t give them an allocation for the 29th or we demand a damage deposit.

Bhoys dount under estimate the Masonic conspiracy that is going on at the moment to save Rangers it would appear even Alex Salmond is prepared to risk his parties political future by talking to HMRC about going easy on the huns.We will see things turned on there head to help the cheats out first of all look at the administrators it is the weirdest administration you are likely to see.Look at the football authorities sitting on there hands with huge debts of over a 100 million any other organisation would be liqudated by now we have the likes of White on SSN grinning like a cheshire cat telling us we can forget about Liquidation. We are witnessing smoke and mirrors on a large scale. However in there anxiety to save there cheating history there is no end to which they wont stoop.H.H.

I can’t explain. I feel the same. I go from hilarity at their suffering to anger at the cheating and the apparent lack of will by the administrators of Scottish Football to see justice done. As I see it this is not over until the following are dealt with:

    – Their debts are properly paid, including and in particular their taxes are paid.

If they can’t pay their taxes and become ‘New Rangers’ appropriate punishment must be forthcoming because if it looks like the Hun, smells like the Hun and sounds like the Hun then it is the Hun – tax dodging cheats.

    – Their improper registration of players for however long it was happening is appropriately punished, titles stripped, Cups re-awarded to runners up etc.

    – All monies owed to other Scottish Clubs are paid in full.

This could go on for years.

They should never be allowed to forget the 100 plus years of sectarianism at official level and the two decades of financial doping/ cheating.

By the way, I don’t care if they are liquidated or not. In some ways letting them continue means we can chase them more effectively for the above. If justice prevails their history will be very different from that currently stated on their website.

Jim Whyte is still a tool.

    134 million

in the context of Scottish football what is that ?

134 million Rangers Ibrox, Murray parks and Albion car parks Arsenal shares for sure

What could say Hamilton do with 5% of that ?

    Kilmarnock 9m in debt

    Hearts 40m ?

And they want to stiffen the bank man and creditors ?????????

I think we may be witnessing the death of the professional game in Scotland

If that were to happen would Celtic get an invite ?

If both were to happen I would be delighted.

It would be the end of the SNP and any idea of independence remember how we voted after Allys army humiliated us ?

Perhaps they hadn’t actualyl paid Rapid any of the money owed and Everton only agreed to pay the remainder, with Rangers still liable with what should have been paid up to the point of sale.

In the interests of public order I think the first ever Celtic supporter only Glasgow Derby at Celtic Park is a must.

They will wreck the joint otherwise. What have they to lose? They know no money will be paid by their club for damages because they have none. There is a chance it might be their last visit to Celtic Park for a few years (if justice is done).

And by the way does anyone know are there any penalties for clubs owing money to other member clubs?

If there is a chance that there is would it be possible that we give them tickets knowing full well they won’t cough up the cash or pay for damages and then get them that way? Or is that just wishful thinking?

  20. According to Duff&Duffer weeks ago Whyte was ‘irrelevant’

    Not now it seems…

Be interesting to see if the Administrators pay for the tickets up front. Obviously we won’t hand over tickets without that.

it definitely looks like liquidation is the only way out for them regardless what tosspots like Jim SSN Whyte says.

There is absolutely no way a CVA is achievable with debts to HMRC over £90 million, even taking 10p in the pound would probably still give them debts of around £15-£20 million, and remember ticketus are part of the deal, no fecking chance.

Liquidation all the way, any business person with half a brain would tell you it’s the only way out, its only the laptop loyal that keeps spouting the CVA route.

The battle for Newco’s re-admission to the SPHell will hot up in the days to come as the preferred bidder starts to make plans for life after Rangers, and gets Govan 2012 up and running, i hope the rest of Scottish football realizes whats at stake here.

If Newco get straight back in regardless of penalties i for one will never set foot inside a Scottish football ground again, they can whistle for my hard earned cash, and i think the majority of Scottish football fans not just us will have the same attitude.

Integrity and fairness cast aside for the sake of ££££ it would make our game the pariah of world football, the game would slowly die, why would any club ever try to pay their due as why not take the “RangersIA” route?

Rest assured the SFA/SPL/SFL would have top treat any other club the exact same way as they treat Rangers, regardless of thier status in the Scottish game.

I hope Lawell & Co have their ducks lined up waiting to pounce, the club has kept their powder dry so far, i have no doubts they have a game plan i just hope they are taking the depth of feeling of the support into account.
