  1. 50 shades of green on

Sky’s coverage started off really poor and went downhill from there.

Gamboas best game so far in a Celtic strip.

Izzy looked good also as did a few others.

Motm either the fans or Brendan.

  2. Tricoloured Ribbon on

Not a thin dime from me..

Tanner trying to talk about a non existent penalty not even mentioned in commentary.

Incidentally,we were denied an absolute stonewaller when Brown’s jersey was nearly ripped off his back as he tried to force the ball home in the first half.

    Not a peep from Sky.

    They detest us.

  3. Hamilton seemed to lose all hope when Stuart sent that screamer in.

Scuppered Willie Collum’s chances of getting a big game from the SFA too.

This is a really tremendous run that we are on in domestic football currently. Long my it continue.

See you all on Wednesday for the Ross County game

  4. onenightinlisbon on

Bonnar, Walker, Nicholas all uncle Tims who should be ashamed of themselves. Short memories…

  5. Collum will not be subjected to the mssm disemboweling that they gave him earlier in the season.

Today his performance will be lauded though he failed in his and their objective of a Hamilton win.

An uncle Tom of the highest order.

  6. HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOPY birthday to Cowiebhoys mam

Thank you Celtic ,standing strong and proud in the face of blatant cheating by the man who sold his soul Gollum.

a very Happy Christmas to all my Celtic family wherever you are.

  7. PeterLatchfordsBelly on

Brilliant again from the bhoys after an exhausting schedule. By the time we play the Huns next week we will have played half as many games again as them this season. We’ll pump them anyway.

No surprise to see the honest mistakes creeping back in just in time for Aye Brokes. Wee Willie Collum is just a tube. A wimp who has clearly spent his life having sand kicked in his face, he obviously revels in the power refereeing gives him. Tube.

Congratulations to Brendan and the team and a big thank you from this happy Tim for an unbelievable first half of the season.

Merry Christmas to one all and all.

  8. onenightinlisbon on

Gollum could not wait to card young McGregor. What about Donati’s deliberate hand ball? Of course if he had booked him for that he would not have got a second yellow, that we know.

  9. thomthethim for Oscar OK on

Nothing about today was conducive to good football.

Neither the weather, the pitch nor the ref contributed to a decent game of football.

What we got was a solid, gritty team performance, that took everything the day had to offer and left Hamilton with three points and a great sense of job satisfaction.

I think Cristian Gamboa is worthy of a special mention.

He has slowly built his game from a cautious, no frills debut, excluding Barca, to the assured and aggressive contribution he delivered today,

Compliments of the Season to all Celtic people, in and around the Club, wherever ye may be.

  10. Gollum had a positive effect on Celtic with his cheating.

We looked very comfortable and assured as well as more dangerous with ten men.

He focused the players and coaches who stepped it up.

  11. Bonner on Shortbread states that Celtic face another test of character when going to Ibrox .

    Words fail me.

Paddy , the word your looking for is thrive.

Did McStay , Burns , MacAvennie ,or Aitken ever wilt ?

Away and bile yer heid .

Brendan’s Celtic , given a level playing field , will thrive.

  12. Afternoon all

Just about thawed out. No comment on sending off as view obscured but it turned out to be worst thing to happen to Accies as we really played well. Two great goals in second half and thiugh not a great fan so far Gamboa had an excellent game along with usual suspects like Broony, Armstrong and Erik.

    Merry Christmas

    Jimbo67

  13. Great result again despite Gollum’s performance never a second booking ! Wee Spanner & co are really hurting !

  14. onenightinlisbon on

Bonnar, the guy who wanted “Rangers” saved for the good of Scottish football. Speaks of the “Old Firm”. Hero as a player, no more Packy…..

  15. In comparison to some recent games – that was a very polished 10-man performance today.

3 very good goals – both strikers scoring and a cracker from midfield.

Rotation has been good. Am sure the Bhoys will want to put the last 2 games to bed and enjoy a nice wee break in the New Year.

Coverage was rank – seen better silent movies in my time!

  16. Just in and haven’t read back. A thoroughly professional performance from our Hooped heroes in atrocious conditions in Hamilton.

    Gollum his usual shocking self.

Stuart Armstrong take a bow son it was a goal from the instant it left your foot.

Also thought Gamboa had a good game today.

    The Celtic go marching on.

  17. Marrakesh Express on

    My thoughts..

    Gamboa motm

Collum, simply awful and consistently so.

Sky so anti Celtic, Tanner no attempt at impartiality.

Walker just ahead of Bonner now in the crawling ex Celtic players list.

And btw, Dalziel on Sevco… ‘vintage ran&ers’ ??

Have to disagree with you there mhate….’hero as a player’ he was a dumpling all his

    days.

  19. Rick Parfitt has died in a hospital in Spain.

Another loss of an entertainer in 2016. Dreadful year.

80 caps for the Republic and 642 games for the hoops would seem to counter that one but all about opinions as they say…..

  21. Craig Gordon was very assured in difficult conditions.

    Gamboa aggressive and confident.

Lustig and Erik were steady and strong

    Izzy strong and positive

CMcG very good which made forced cheat to send him off.

    Armstrong excellent.

    Brown leadership in abundance.

    Roberts had no real impact.

Sinclair quiet but got better when we had 10 men

Griff is a sniperDembele did well with goal and assist

    Bitton steady.

JF very effective in short space of time.

    Coaches deserved full marks.

Collum is a soup taking cheat and a fanny.

  22. onenightinlisbon on

    FRANNYB67

Big Sutton the exception and even he was poor in his first few months at BT Sport…

  23. Terrible day for a game of soccer where the plastic pitch was already to blame for it going ahead..

SKY’s jaundiced take on everything Celtic was blissfully blocked, when the sound of Andy Walker was lost with 70 minutes gone, but the asinine Willie Collum had already done his worst with a dreadful decision to red card Callum Macgregor.

Neil EBT McCann saw an ‘absolute’ first half penalty, that ‘absolutely’ no one else did including the hapless Collum with his extra een.

In between and roundabout Celtic professionally nurtured us towards our strongest team with Scott Sinclair and James Forrest re-established on the flanks, and Moussa breaking his ‘slump’, with a fine goal. Leigh Griffiths scored typically and Stuart Armstrong found the top corner like Adam Matthews did in a previous visit.

Brendan Rodgers led SMSM a merry dance about plastic pitches and Celtic returned all three points as we head unstoppably to the big game against Ross County on Wednesday.

  24. PRAECEPTA

The coverage on Celtic tv was vintage.

Old school blurry pics due to rain and condensation.

Were the cameramen lazy in not cleaning lenses or was the weather that overwhelming?

Either way it brought bake memories of watching Celtic as a youth in the beautiful Scottish climate.

  25. FAN-A-TIC on 24TH DECEMBER 2016 3:31 PM

I’m old enough to remember when the Celtic Film Club(?) used to come to the Parish Church Hall – big projector and 60’s b&w matches.

Even remember the b&w Pathe News cup final football clips at the cinema! :-)

  26. Brillant, bhoys. I do not wish to take away anything from a great performance by the bhoys. TV pundits, a guy with a whistle, etc., are not worry of consideration today.

I just want to congratulate the team for an all round great performance. When Armstrong scored his wonderful goal you could feel the togetherness in the whole team. The celebration took in everyone in the squad. The dugout all rose to a mhan to join in the celebration. There is a togetherness in the team now. For that, thanks, Brendan.

  27. Greenpinata, lilac, really??????

Anyway good result. Said after the Dundee game that Gamboa was starting to look like a player, today I thought he was excellent for 90 minutes, felt he fell away in the second half of Dundee game. Think he will start next Saturday

Anyway family duties call and I will say I have enjoyed my first year on the blog and wish all posters and the Celtic faithful a very happy Christmas.

    Best wishes

    HH

  28. Just on to wish everyone a Happy Christmas. Probably not be on tomorrow due to being chief cook and bottlewasher.

    Remember fholks

If you must jingle then jingle all the way because no one likes a half assed jingler :-)

  29. embramike supporting Res 12 on

Eventually SkySports sycophantic financial support of the “best league in the world” EPL, which is based on ever increasing subscription fees, will cause their Business Plan bubble to burst.

The advent of “alternative viewing options” plus the ‘money no object’ influences such as the Chinese market will most likely hasten this denouement – as could anyone who still has a SkySports subscription by cancelling it right away.

The EPL will start to implode as their Sky based income streams will not be able to support the inflated contracts of their mostly overrated influx of players – and hell mend them.

Oh and a few Scottish sky sports “presenters” will be out of a job – how sad, what a shame, never mind !

  30. Rather than use the pitch and conditions as an excuse to fail, cc your last blog Paul67, I thought Brendan had the boys ready for the battle. I thought we competed brilliantly over the 90 minutes and won our battles first and foremost. Sure it was tough to get the ball down and play like we normally do but we dug in and waited for moments of quality that would see us prevail. What a ping Stuarty! There is something immensely satisfying about winning with 10 men, it’s about team work, organisation and hard work. We were seamless when we went down to 10, if not better. What more can you say about Brendan Rodgers, today was as animated as i have seen him. He was patrolling, encouraging, and giving direction on the touchline, it was an absolute joy to watch.

  31. ONENIGHTINLISBON

Did ok for the Republic, but why we suffered him so long ..God knows, cannot

think of a game when he was excellent and I had been to most of them, a fekn user.
