FILIPE JOTA will know if he will be heading for the World Cup Finals in Qatar when Portugal finalise their 26-player squad tomorrow afternoon.

The Celtic winger has already been named in manager Fernando Santos’ provisional squad of 55, but that will be cut back when the final announcement is made around 4.30pm.

Team-mates Aaron Mooy and Daizen Maeda have already been given the nod by respective countries Australia and Japan to join the soccer extravaganza in the Middle East which kicks off a week on Sunday when the hosts play Ecuador.

The grand finale is scheduled for December 18, a week before Christmas Day.

Matt O’Riley could yet be named in the Denmark squad with manager Kasper Hjuland holding off submitting his definitive travelling pool to FIFA until Monday morning.

Josip Juranovic will almost certainly be involved in the Croatia group when it is announced later today and it’s a similar situation with Cameron Carter-Vickers with the US releasing their squad in a colourful ceremony in New York at 10pm this evening (UK time).
