Not sure in Neil as a manager but Stein and MON would struggle in this league. That is one of the most appalling refereeing performances I have seen and lets be honest I have seen a lot of them.

HT Motherwell 1-1 Celtic
Very competitive first half. Motherwell have worked very hard and have not alllowed us any time on the ball. As a result, our play has been rushed and often sloppy. Loose passes and long balls from the back has seen us concede possession way too often. Motherwell have been very physical with Forrest and Commons, our two creative players frequently on the end of cynical tackles. Incredibly, the ref has only showed the yellow card twice.
Their goal was probably just on-side. Mathews, who has looked out of sorts all game, was slow to join his colleagues pushing out of the 6yd box, and played the scorer on-side. A great response from the Bhoys though with Sammi flicking on a good Commons corner and Stokes finishing well at the far post. Saw Torres miss a similar chance yesterday for Liverpool but Stokesy kept his nerve and finished very well.
It won’t be a second half for the faint hearted. We need more from midfield in the second half. They are being by-passed by our own defence and when they do get the ball they are not working hard enough for each other. Both full backs need to do better at cutting out crosses into our box. Masto looks solid today and Stokes is working very hard up front. Sammi should be replaced by Hooper at the earliest opportunity.

Celtic need to make it known, on the pitch, that they will not put up with the “challenges” of the first half, surround the perp, make it clear to him that we will gladly take a yellow card on his behalf. Jennings to get sent off, eventually.

The ref the other night in the Rennes game, although not brilliant, knew what constituted a booking.
This ref, who didn’t referee a single game in the SPL last year, is having an abominable game.
We are being stitched up by a cheating swine of a referee and a bunch of ruthless hackers.
We have to start complaining yet again, the CSA must get involved. I think it was Phil mac who said the new head ref was a good one, well Phil think again because every week we are being kicked of the park and yopur good one is doing nothing about it.
We have a massive fight in front of us in the second half.

Richmond CHEAT
There are three things happening in this game.
First of all, Celtic are playing very poorly. The passing is terrible and we are showing no composure or urgency. Not good enough.
Secondly, Murderwell are displaying an approach to the game last seen in this country from Atletico Madrid in 1974. Every time a Celtic player takes possession with his back to goal, he is being kicked in the back of the leg, or having a set of studs raked down the calf. Every time a Celtic player looks like getting away from his marker, he is being hauled back illegally. They are a shower of dirty scumbags.
Thirdly, we are being given no protection at all from the referee, who only booked Lasley for a forearm smash on Kayal, seconds after he had gone over the top on Forrest, which could easily have seriously injured him.
But what can we do about it? Is it any wonder our players look tentative and lack composure when they just know they will be getting a kicking if they hang onto it for more than a second?
Operation Get the Orcs a Cushion Before Administration is in full swing. I want Rangers newco in the Third Division. I want Celtic applying to join the Blue Square Premier and I want Scottish football to die a long, slow, painful death. It is a corrupt, sectarian cesspit and deserves no better.
