FILIPE JOTA has been sent a special video message from Benfica after sealing his £6.5million five-year deal with Celtic.

The 23-year-old winger quit the Lisbon giants to join the champions following his impressive season-long loan in which he netted 13 goals for the Parkhead club.

Jota, who had been at the Portuguese side for a decade as he kicked off his career, featured in an emotional send-off on social media with footage of the flamboyant raider coming through the ranks in their academy squads.

In their fond farewell, Benfica entitled their screen salute “Obrigado, Jota” as they said thanks for his endeavours for the former European masters.

Jota became Ange Postecoglou’s fourth signing of the summer, joining Cameron Carter-Vickers, the Spurs cementing a permanent £6million switch from Spurs, left-back Alexandro Bernabei, a £3.75million capture from Argentinian top-flight club Lanus, and Swiss keeper Benji Siegrist, who was a free agent after leaving Dundee United at the end of his four-year contract.
