Definitely would have been wanting a penalty if it was for us, funnily enough MrsGFTB said straight away the Thistle guy made it look a dive (?) after Wednesday sort of glad the Bhoys got a harder game / result tonight hopefully the focus will be Wednesday with no result taken for granted

I stated at HT, we play back into Lustig far too often, and from there too slow to get out of that corner.
I thought We got our usual standard back tonight in JF, CMcG, and as I’ve said SA gives ball away far too often – if we get offered £5m for him take it
Also agree with comments on Bitton, far too casual playing at CH, although can see a pass
If you don’t understand why he could be considered compromised, whatever his decision(s), I can’t really explain it to you.

You could argue all day / night about Rebs songs but contrast the atmosphere at end of season compared to tonight against thistle.
The Linefield experience has opened old wounds within our support and they are being belted out loudly, we are dragging ourselves back down to their level

Some of you want to take a look at yourselves.
Our players had one eye on Wednesday night as did Brendan. 3 points are in the bag and we move on. Get a grip with the overreactions and nonsense!!!!!!

Surely Brendan must play Lustig at Centre back on Wednesday and either Ralston or Gamboa at right back Bitton will cost us goals he is never a centre back . Hayes and Forrest for me are not doing it either Brendan has to sort things out with Armstrong who has gone right off the boil. We need a decent lead and a clean sheet to take to Astana.H.H.
I could be so wrong, just the way I see it, but if I was picking the team I wouldn’t be playing someone who won’t or is swithering about commiting, but thankfully I’m not :-)
Thought our support were magnificent tonight…….as always.

Sunderland game Bitton has mad rush at guy on edge of box and takes himself out of position.Goalie bails him out with one on one save.
Against Hearts on at least 3 occasions he took himself out of position and others covered for him.
Tonight he could have caused two points.
He is an accident waiting to happen.
What is arrogant is guys like you who think Brendan is infallible.
He is an excellent coach but his human failings show infrequently.

Think everyone was getting carried away and expecting a big score tonight – me too.
However, it’s still early in the season and we are still settling down. On possession we should have won comfortably but we gave ourselves a wee scare at the end due to being a bit wasteful with our final ball.
And it was a penalty – no doubt. The fact that Dallas didn’t give it was a shock or maybe he didn’t quite see it properly.
One thing that really concerns me though is Scott Sinclair. Not the fact that he is right out of form, which he has been since way before the end of last season, but BR’s insistence on him being an ever present and always for 90 mins.
I’ll bow to his much better judgement but if anyone else in the squad was performing as poor as that I think they would be hooked or dropped without question.
Apart from all that it was a good 3 points and a good workout with no injuries before next Wed.

I must be living in a different world after reading back some of the comments about Scott Sinclair. The guy is different class, he plays when fit and never get’s subbed because Brendan rates him so highly. He played within himself tonight, believe me he will go up through the gears if needed. He is a top, top player.

If Griffiths gets someone up front on the same wavelength as him, we’ll give most teams a doing, leigh looks like he is on a different level to Forrest and Sinclair ATM. Sinclair doing fine and will peak soon but, so far seems to work better with Dembele. Ajer CB mid week for me, think Bitton looks composed and proficient when it works for him, looks lazy and careless when it doesn’t infuriating player ( because of his obvious ability) too big a risk for mid-week.
